This set of four hand-blown glasses by artist Jack Wax will be a conversation starter at your next social gathering . Jack is a full-time artist, professor, and is the Head of the Glass Program at Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts . Chris Shands is a Richmond contemporary artist whose work is influenced by her travels in the Far East as a child . The use of bold but feminine colors, coupled with a touch of gold leaf brings a delicate nature to her abstract and figurative paintings . Chris begins many of her paintings by layering rich colors using random brush strokes . Utilizing various tools, she begins the process of pushing and pulling the paint, manipulating the layers and editing out what is no longer needed .
