Virginia Outside offers one-week mountain biking camps for children ages 8-14 . Join their staff of experienced riders for a week on the trails developing mountain biking skills including: steering, shifting, hill climbing and descending, log hopping, dodging obstacles, etiquette, maintenance, safety and more . Campers will ride in the morning, have a midday lunch/activity break, then get back on their bikes in the afternoon for more trail exploration! Campers are placed in groups of beginner, intermediate, and advanced to ensure they are riding with campers of the same ability level . Bikes and helmets are provided, but campers are encouraged to bring their own mountain bike . Campers should know how to ride a bike before signing up for this camp .
