TRAVELLING TO ST DUNSTAN’S COLLEGE
St Dunstan’s College is ideally positioned: within 15 minutes by train from London Bridge or Charing Cross, it is set in 68 acres of land across two sites accessible within walking distance.
Students attending St Dunstan’s are drawn from across south, south-east and central London, as well as towns and villages in Kent. In order to help parents transport students to and from school, the College is delighted to provide safe and reliable coach services. There are currently two routes in operation: the Streatham and Dulwich Route and the Blackheath Route.
Alongside our own fleet of coaches, St Dunstan’s is located just a two-minute walk from Catford Bridge Station and Catford Station, which link to London Bridge, Charing Cross and Hayes. We are also served well by a number of TFL buses, which stop directly outside the College gates.
The College is passionate about creating a sustainable future, and where possible, we encourage students and staff to walk or cycle to College. We have a number of cycle racks across the College site, where students can safely store their bicycle.

OUR COACH SERVICES
ROUTES
There are currently two routes in operation: the Streatham and Dulwich Route and the Blackheath Route. Your address may fall within or very near to a pick-up point, but if not, we are always happy to consider additional pick-up points, according to demand.
We usually ask parents to register their interest by the end of the Trinity term, in order for their child to start using the school coach at the start of the following Michaelmas term.
Our reliable coach service provides students with safe and secure transport, and also supports St Dunstan’s commitment to sustainability and a cleaner environment by reducing the number of possible cars travelling to and from school each day, helping to improve air quality around the South Circular and College site.
FAQS
How much does it cost?
For the academic year 2021-22, the annual cost for the Streatham and Dulwich Route was £1680 (or £560 per term) and was £1680 for the Blackheath Route (or £560 per term). Fees are requested termly in advance via the College payment system, WisePay. Fees are the same whichever pick-up point you use.
Must my child use the service everyday?
While most pupils use the service every day, both morning and afternoon, they also have the option to use the service for just part of the week. However, parents will be charged the full fee regardless of the frequency of use. Parents can opt to use the coach service for either the morning or afternoon, but priority will be given to those pupils who use the service fully. Any applications received for one-way journeys only, will be addressed on a first come first served basis.
Who is the School Coach service for?
The service is currently open to Junior School children in Year 6 and to all Senior School students from Year 7 to Year 13. If you are interested in a sibling of a Senior School student younger than Year 6 joining the service, please enquire with Miss Teresa Beard at collegeoffice@stdunstans.org.uk.
Consideration will only be given to Junior School children younger than Year 6 if their Senior School sibling is aged 14 and over.
Are the drivers DBS checked?
The College always seeks to act prudently, only asking reputable providers to run our services. The College ensures that all drivers have the appropriate clearance from the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS check).
What is the cancellation policy?
Parents who wish to stop using the School Coach service must give one full term’s notice by writing to the College Office at: collegeoffice@stdunstans.org.uk.
Who should I contact if I have a question?
Any query regarding the Coach service should be directed to Miss Teresa Beard at: collegeoffice@stdunstans.org.uk 020 8516 7200.
