one year anniversary of 550 am wsjw In March, Relevant Radio was blessed and humbled to celebrate the one year anniversary of broadcasting Catholic Talk Radio on 550 AM WSJW in Providence, RI!
over one million memorares! In May, Relevant Radio broke through the 1,000,000 mark on our “Memorare Meter,” a simple device to encourage folks to pray for an end to abortion. Now we are on our way to over 2,000,000!

Relevant reels On June 3rd, Relevant Radio presented Relevant Reels, a fun and creative moviemaking challenge for the whole family! To participate, families were encouraged to make a three (3) minute movie. Morning Air® launched the family fun contest in conjunction with Navis Pictures and Jim Morlino.

Rome Reports On July 5th, Relevant Radio brought you good news direct from Rome: soon our beloved John Paul II, along with John XXIII, will be canonized!

Canonization Pilgrimage In October, Relevant Radio announced a Pilgrimage to Rome for the Canonization of John Paul II and John XXIII, together with a drawing for two free tickets.

Message from: the executive Director Praise God for the abundant blessings Relevant Radio® has received in 2013! It was a year of transition as the Church welcomed a new Pope. It was a year of growth as Relevant Radio expanded its reach to thousands of new listeners through our mobile app and social media. Let’s not forget that it was also the Year of Faith. On February 28th, 2013, Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI made history when he stepped down from the papacy. Relevant Radio became your ‘smoke detector’ as we all waited in suspense to see who the next pontiff would be. Since his first appearance on the Vatican balcony, Pope Francis has been a source of fascination for Catholics and

non-Catholics alike. He continues to amaze the world through his humility and Christ-like love to everyone he encounters. In February, we released our brand new mobile app. The Relevant Radio app provides listeners with live streaming so you can listen to us wherever you go! It allows easy access to the Audio Archives, as well as audio prayers and much more. By the end of the year we reached over 30,000 downloads in 120 countries across the globe. Our strong growth in social media has also given us the ability to further spread the Good News. Posts on our Facebook pages have reached millions of people in a matter of hours. Relevant Radio 550 AM WSJW in Providence, Rhode Island, marked its first anniversary on the air in March 2013. We have certainly been blessed
to serve the Diocese of Providence, and hope to expand our reach to other areas of the country in 2014. The Year of Faith also brought new shows to the Relevant Radio network. Father Simon SaysTM, hosted by Father Richard Simon, made its debut on September 23rd. Under the Microscope, a weekly feature hosted by Sheila Liaugminas, also debuted in September. Thanks to all of our dedicated associates, loyal listeners, and generous donors, 2013 has been a fantastic year for Relevant Radio. Let’s pray that 2014 also has many blessings in store.
