Jeff Miner ’11

Work hard. Be flexible. Play the long game. Think about what you want to be doing at age 30, and find the jobs that will get you there. If you have your dream job right out of college, you have the wrong dream. You go to college to develop the skills and strategic thinking to find the right career path — because what you want is a career you can grow with, not a job.
Make learning a daily practice.
My field of work changes really quickly, so it’s up to me to continue educating myself so I can stay ahead of the curve. Stay curious and keep learning, even if you don’t think it applies directly to your job. When you’re genuinely curious, you’re able to be more open-minded and creative.
