TAKE THE LEAD griffith leadership society
LEADERSHIP FOR LIFE LEADERSHIP FLOURISHES at University of the
Sciences. Our rigorous curriculum and nurturing community are its ingredients; our outstanding faculty and resources, its catalysts. Graduates emerge with the confidence and skills to succeed and to lead. Many go on to achieve great things in the business world, advance science, own and operate community pharmacies, improve health care and give back to education. Simply put, a USciences education prepares tomorrow’s leaders in the most demanding and rapidly expanding professional fields. It opens doors of opportunity. It promotes lifelong learning, an essential leadership trait. To sustain this excellence, another brand of leadership — philanthropic leadership — must come first. The support of alumni, parents, faculty and friends helps write each USciences success story, on campus, across the country and around the world. “USCIENCES TAUGHT US HOW TO LEAD. NOW IT’S OUR TURN TO TAKE THE LEAD IN NURTURING THE NEXT GENERATION OF PACESETTERS IN PHARMACY, SCIENCE AND HEALTH CARE.”

AN EXTRAORDINARY CONTINUUM BEGINNING in fall 2010, The Griffith Leadership
Society will bring together the University’s philanthropic leaders. Named after President Ivor Griffith, who led PCPS from World War II to the dawn of the Space Age, the Society renews the USciences tradition of recognizing and honoring the donors whose generosity has been our foundation. Aptly, the Society shares its name with Griffith Hall, the oldest building on campus and a link between our heritage and our global impact today. Many families in the Griffith Leadership Society are also members of the Legacy Society, proudly linking our past, present and future. Ultimately, leadership giving drives growth and change. As USciences has added colleges, raised buildings and facilities, and rebranded the institution for the 21st century, the Griffith Leadership Society’s members have been, and remain, at the forefront. “OVER THE PAST FIVE YEARS, I’VE DEVELOPED MUCH MORE OF AN APPRECIATION FOR MY EDUCATION. WHEN A FELLOW ALUM REACHED OUT TO ME ASKING FOR SUPPORT, I WAS HAPPY TO WRITE A CHECK AND GRATEFUL THAT I COULD.”
