The characteristic o f the desig n was initially inspired by Bj a r k e I n ge l ’s 8 Ho use o n ho w he experimented with a lo t o f sharp ange l s a n d bol d l i n e s . The framewo rk fulfills this bulky characteristic to expo se the r a w qu a l i ty of th e so lidwo o d as a pro tective layer o f the exterio r. The desig n ge ts mor e e l e ga n t and so fter to wards the interio r as it g ets clo ser to the use r. T h i s i s a c h i e vd thro ug h the tapered fro nt leg s, co mpressed thin plywood th a t f ol l ow s th e cur vature o f o ne’s bo tto m, and flexibility achieved by the ba c k r e s t w i th th e use of th i n pl yw ood.
