EMERGENCY! Earthquakes. Fires. Storms. Floods. Emergencies call for immediate action. Several organizations help people prepare for emergencies.
NOAA (NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION) One of NOAA’s jobs is to keep track of the weather. NOAA alerts people when dangerous weather, such as a hurricane, tornado, or blizzard, is on the way. Find information on NOAA’s Web site or listen for warnings on the radio.
Listen for alerts.
USFA (U.S. FIRE ADMINISTRATION)
