ART IS AN IDEA THAT HAS FOUND ITS PERFECT VISUAL EXPRESSION. AND DESIGN IS THE VEHICLE BY WHICH THIS EXPRESSION IS MADE POSSIBLE. ART IS A NOUN, AND DESIGN IS A NOUN AND ALSO A VERB. ART IS A PRODUCT AND DESIGN IS A PROCESS. DESIGN IS THE FOUNDATION OF ALL THE ARTS. PAGE

THE DESIGN PROCESS IS LIKE A SPINNING TOP

PAGE

My process of design is like a spinning top. It spins off in stages, it’s layered and complex with winding paths. Design is never simply a linear line; it takes work, process and quality time to produce a quality product. My portfolio I will demonstrate my value of process.

Understanding the parameters of design is much like picking up a top. The project still hasn’t taken off. Research initiates movement.

MY DESIGN PROCESS IS LIKE A SPINNING TOP

“When you start an idea you expect it to go in one direction. What really happens is the idea spins off itself, generating superior ideas.” -Stephanie Horvilleur

Balanced, montion reaches its pinnacle; the design’s character emerges. Now the top is spinning all over the page at a fast pace, the ideas are moving in different directions as the detials are being discovered. As the top sins, the design’s aspects fortify.
