Childhood - Folklore - Memories.

Breathing in, I´m standing here in my mothers home town. She is polish, even though her family moved quite early to Germany. Now I´m back at her birthplace Kamjonki, the place where everything began.

Inspired by my own family history, I want to reinvent typical polish elements in this fall/ winter collection 2016/17 and combine them in fragments with my live here and now.

Straight lines meet wide patterns and kittenish details like fringes, cording, laces, pearls and embroidery. The Kamjonki mountains worked as a base for a knitdesign which finds itself as a pattern element. The strong and sharp mountain edges are attached in form of Swarovski stones.

Kamjonki means to draw a bow between my historical background and the defined straight world of today.

Lightness - Illusion - Dance.

Inspired by the ballet production, I´m reflecting a little girl‘s dream. A ballet dancers facility is expressed. PlissĂŠ and tender, flowing fabrics combined with leather and wool are used with different rose tones, creme and white nuances.

In contrast to the lightness stands the gravity of the mouse kings army. Military green nuances and uniform details are to be found: big attached patch pockets, epaulettes, pantsuits, doubled button tabs and straight cut jackets, as well as bomber jackets.

Concern of the collection is the basic wearability, while the focus of most looks lies on the back details.

Illustrations in form of digital prints or embroidery patches are also part of the design story: Sweets and the nutcracker himself are attached to blouses, tops, dresses and often to be found as a printed liner.

Dreams - reality - fantasy. Two men, one wearing all white, the other all black. Confusion, disorientation. Was it all a dream or just a strange reality? Inspired by a memory of which I don´t know if it was just a dream, „What keeps you awake“ is a fall/winter collection designed with the classical

Valentino

elements and

reinvented by me. Cherry blossom embroidery and foil printing meet chain-link fence inspired decorative stitching made by a manipulated and deconstructed chainstitch machine. Cut-outs represent fence holes. The typical Valentino red finds itself over and over again, as well as Valentino stylistic elements as quilling and tucked fabric. The collection is half male and female and is correlate to the spirt of time and trend to go beyond limits and conformity. The cut guidance is more wide but elegant d´accord to the typical Valentino style.
