COVID-19 AND THE FUTURE! We want t o first st art off by saying hello t o all of our fellow t eens, and t hat we send our prayers, blessings, and love t owards you and your families. It is not t ot ally easy during t hese t imes we live in, but it is so much easier in t erms of your covering and posit ion in Jesus Christ ! Black Teen Magazine always has been, and always will be, a Christ ian magazine! That essent ially means t hat we will cont inue t o uplift you, inspire you, encourage you, and always point you in t he right direct ion, which for us t hat means ult imat ely is t he cross. W it h t hat point ing, we will also cont inuously remind you of not only what God's word says, but also of t he hope, guarant eed, and promised fut ure t hat you have in Christ Jesus! As Christ ians, we are heirs t o t he t hrone of God, and here, we celebrat e t hat fact ; your Christ ian and Godly and promised inherit ance! Has God, Jesus Christ , or t he Holy Spirit done somet hing for you? Inspire someone else wit h t he hope t hat lives in you t hrough Christ Jesus and share your t est imony! Also, we ask t hat you cont inue t o read your Bible, and pray among family and friends, even if t hat means doing it virt ually during t his quarant ine period. Take good care of yourself. Exercise daily and eat a good, healt hy and well-balanced diet . Medit at e on t hose t hings which are good and pure, just as Philippians 4:8 inst ruct s us t o. Be a light t hat shines. Cont inue t o ask God, Jesus Christ , and t he Holy Spirit t o guide you t hrough t hese t imes and for direct ion t o t he right pat h for you, and your fut ure. And if you haven't already done so, share t he message of t he Gospel, and t ell someone about Jesus Christ and what he has done for you. In t hese uncert ain t imes, it is Jesus Christ t hat we need, and we must t ot ally t rust and rely upon him. Blessings.

Recognizing Your Gifts and Calling By Stephanie Maxwell-Robles Have you figured it out yet? The reason why you were sent to this earth during this time period, and what you are supposed to do? Some may call this your destiny, or your purpose. Some may even refer to this thing as something that you would do as a job, a career or even for free. Did you know that God created you to do something unique and specific in this life? Now that does not mean that you won't have some leading, guidance, mentorship or even help being given throughout this process. Quite the contrary. It means that each and everyone of us was design with a a gift or a specific set of skills thatwill aide us in fulfilling our life's 18

work or "calling" from God. Not only does God bestow gifts upon everyone, but for Christians, he also gives Spiritual Gifts such as speaking in Tongues, Prophecy, or the gift of Leading/Shepherding, or Teaching, Evangelism or even Church Planting /Apostleship. He did this for the edifying of the body. God also gives us a set of Vocational skill too. For example, maybe you like to paint, or sew, design or cook. Some of you may be excellent with research and writing, and some are great with organizing and coordinating. Others are mechanically inclined ,fixing and building where ever you go. And yet some are given to hospitality or taking good care of others, or even

farming. And many of you will have

multiple talents being gifted in a plethora of areas! And some of you will be called to "minister " for the Lord in very specific areas such as being a pastor, teacher, evangelist, minister of music, or etc. It was the Apostle Paul who said "For the Gifts and calling of God are without repentance" Rom an s 11:29 (KJV). You can be rest assured that whatever talent that God gifted you with or whatever specific vocation or career he has called you to, it will not be taken away from you. However, it would do you well never to abuse, nor take your gifts and calling for granted. Many have experienced bumps in the road, missing out on opportunities, or even have experienced "dry seasons" (not being able to fully operate in their giftings and calling mainly due to disobedience or sin). One thing I do know for sure, whatever gifts, skills, or calling God has placed upon you, you will have the most successful, rewarding, and fulfilling time of your life not only when you follow after what God has created you to do, but also in serving him while doing it!
