Please Join Us.....
On behalf of the entire Coggins Family we would like to extend this sincere invitation for each of you to join us November 12 and 13 at Blackwater Cattle Company for our annual Cowman's Kind Bull Sale and Commercial Female Sale. This year we have added a new feature with our first Super Sweet Sixteen offering that speaks volumes for itself. You'll see what we mean in the following pages. Come see us in November with no pressure to do anything but show up and enjoy your time with us. We will treat you right, feed you well, and offer you a relaxed atmosphere to visit with other good people from the beef business. Our annual Steak Supper on Friday night will be family prepared and will also be highlighted with a Cajun Jambalaya Extravaganza prepared by our good friend Craig Neal from Morganza, Louisiana. Look forward to seeing you soon. Please give us a call if we can assist in any way or answer any questions you may have.
Super Sweet Sixteen.....
A new attraction has been added to our sale event this year with our first Super Sweet Sixteen offering. We feel Lots 1 thru 16 explode off the pages with apparent red carpet quality that is simply staggering. Is this the Brangus breed's greatest offering of its kind? Take a look and judge for yourself.
The Bulls.....
The bulls offered in The Cowman’s Kind 2010 Bull Sale at Blackwater Cattle Company are impressive! The facts say so, we guarantee the bulls will stand your evaluation, we guarantee the bulls will be the best you have ever owned. Rather than filling this catalog up with page after page of hype we believe our stock and their data speak volumes. We also believe our bull buyers are smart enough to sort it all out. Come see the bulls. They sell themselves. Nuff said.
Commercial Heifers.....
A sterling group of 150 open heifers ready to breed in December will sell with an option to let us breed the heifers at Blackwater using our time, forage, and bulls. All the facts related to these heifers are outlined in detail at the back of this book. Get ready to be impressed.
Naming Our Bulls.....
We've been asked a few times why we don't give some of our bulls special names. Fact is, we do name our special bulls but only after they sell, only if they are deserving, and only with the input from their new owners. We only choose to name those bulls we believe are herd sire prospect material and will make a future impression in the Brangus breed.
Don’t Let Anyone Fool You. Pounds Really Are Important…..
We were in the commercial beef business long before we decided to start raising seedstock Brangus bulls. We still sell pounds! Pounds at weaning time, pounds on grass, pounds of gain in the feedlot, pounds of calves their replacement daughters raise, and pounds on the rail hanging upside down. In our book we believe in raising pounds, converting pounds of feed to pounds of gain, raising more pounds on grass, selling more pounds of muscle and marbling.
Sight Unseen Purchases
If you are unable to attend the sale yet have an interest in purchasing from the sale, please give us a call at the listed numbers and we will work with you to take care of your purchasing needs. All discussions will remain confidential. Sight unseen purchases are guaranteed for customer satisfaction.
Our cow herd thrives on forage so their sons will as well. That’s a fact, end of story. Our bulls are gain tested to yearling time in 20 acre traps, not in a feedlot. After gain test bulls are summered in large pastures on “bread and water” and culled religiously as they separate themselves apart for soundness, quality, and keeping ability. Yes, we expect a lot out of our bulls and we will show you bulls that are sound footed, sure moving, and capable of handling any environment.
The 2010 Cowman’s Kind Brangus Bulls at Blackwater measure up as follows:
Cattle Load Out
Cattle can be loaded out during and after the sale (except when commercial females are selling). We ask that any pot-sized loads wait until the conclusion of the commercial female sale to load out. We will load out cattle on Sunday and ask that each buyer inform the clerks of your desire to load out on Sunday along with an approximate time of arrival. If you require a load out on another day, please inform the clerks concerning your desired date and time.

he Coggins family has a very simple approach to their agribusiness company, “quality is mandatory, produce the best product possible, and treat people right.” That approach dictates every decision they make in their farm produce company, farm supply company, commercial cow/calf operation, and registered Brangus seedstock program. Mike Coggins, and the extended Coggins family, operates Blackwater Cattle Company, Coggins Farm Supply, and Circle C Produce in Georgia and Florida. They call Lake Park, Georgia home but are just three miles from the Florida line with about 60% of their total operation located in Florida. The cattle entity is named for the dark water found throughout this region of the country flowing in the nearby cypress swamps and abundant in this area of South Georgia. Their operation is a diverse, multi-faceted agribusiness enterprise where every segment must complement the other highlighted by utilizing their cull produce production as an important feed source for their cattle programs. Their produce business encompasses 5000 irrigated acres of tomatoes, green beans, bell peppers, cucumbers, corn, cantaloupe, blackberries, and blueberries with another 3000 acres devoted strictly to carrot production. Mike Coggins takes the lead on the cattle program and he is joined in the family enterprise with his father, Felton and brother, Kevin; uncles Edwin and Gerald; and cousins Jade and Kelsey, and Anthony. Mike is a third generation farmer and rancher. Perry Coggins, Mike’s grandfather, raised dairy cattle and tobacco starting in the 1940’s. These were sold in the ‘70’s but the family had beef cattle, corn, cotton and soybeans well into the ‘80’s. The farm supply stored opened in 1974 and still supplies local farmers today. In 1987 the Coggins family started raising vegetables and in 2000 they decided to bring cattle back into the program. Once the family made the decision to re-enter the commercial cattle business their research led them to Brangus females. They were attracted to this polled breed’s mothering ability, calf raising value, total pounds of weaned production, heat tolerance, disease resistance, longevity, maternal traits, adaptability, foraging ability, and of course their black hide. Today Blackwater Cattle Company runs close to 500 commercial Brangus and Brangus derivative females expected to calve in a very strict 60 day calving season in the fall. A big part of the commercial herd is bred A.I. at the beginning of each breeding season using the best genetics in the country from Mound Creek and Blackwater. In 2003, Mike analyzed their program’s strength and weaknesses realizing they needed to add power from the sire side. “We started looking for top quality registered Brangus bulls, and visited lots of ranches across the country. We were impressed with the power we found in Mound Creek’s offering and their willingness to share their thoughts and views on breeding cattle. We were very defined in the type of bull we wanted. We needed sound footed bulls, optimal maternal traits, strong scrotal measurements, improved carcass merit, and we wanted to add pounds to our calves at weaning and later gain in the feedlot. We demanded bulls that were the soundest we could find, complete and overall a total package. The Coggins crew looked all over the country and “the Mound Creek bulls were the best,” he describes. In 2003 they purchased a number of bulls from Mound Creek Ranch in Texas and to this day maintain a close relationship with Mound Creek.
A couple of years later one of the best seedstock herds in the country came available so the family scratched another itch and added a registered Brangus program. From this initial purchase Blackwater identified superior cows and placed them in embryo transfer. These cows included several important program Summit Cows, 4C Ms Lead Gun 192P4, 4C Ms Lead Gun 12N, and other donors representing the productive cow families numbered 487, 535, and 647. Other current Blackwater donors include MC Ms Extravagant 889P4, MC Ms Extravagant 129P12, RBM Ms Lead Gun 129S8, MC Ms Dateline 111L2, and MC Ms Dateline 111L10, collectively representing three of the most prolific and famed cow families in the entire Brangus breed. “We did not necessarily intend to jump into embryo transfer this quick, but felt if we were going to be competitive in producing the best bulls in the country then we needed to utilize our best cows to the highest degree possible in reaching this objective,” recognized Coggins. The registered cows are treated daily just like the commercial cows. Extensive weights and measures are taken on both commercial and registered production that include weaning weights, yearling weights, pelvic measures, carcass merit ultrasound measures, annual calving records, etc. “About the only thing different between our two cow herds is that we do weigh our registered calves at birth and we have a spring calving season to complement our fall calving season for our registered cows. Other than that we pretty much demand they do things alike.” Blackwater Cattle Company is a Mound Creek Genetic Partner and this Brangus Bull and Commercial Female Sale marks their third annual production marketing event. The Coggins clan believes their location straddling the Georgia/Florida line and just off Interstate 75 provides the ideal location to service the cattle producing states in the Southeastern part of the United States. Come to the Bull Sale and you will be treated right, made to feel welcome, and fed like never before. It is apparent the entire Coggins clan loves family, friends, hard work, and their Brangus cattle. When you visit Blackwater Cattle Company you are guaranteed seeing an impressive Brangus seedstock operation, but more importantly, meeting a family that truly understands the value of God, country, family, and friends. They are dedicated to treating folks right and producing a quality product at the highest level possible. Perhaps even greater than their high quality of farm produce or cattle is the quality of the Coggins family itself. They embody the spirit of the American farmer and rancher having lived solely from the land and its blessing for what will soon be four generations.

Registration Number: Bulls noted with “R” number are Registered Brangus. Those noted with a “C” number are Certified Brangus and are either 1/4 or 1/2 Brahman influence. “BP” lots are blended genetic bulls from Brangus and percentage parentage. “UB” bulls are Ultra-Blacks, indicating they are a Brangus-Angus blend. “AX” recorded bulls are appendix registered purebred Brangus that have non-typical Brangus color pattern. Polled/Scurs: denotes bulls that are either smooth polled or have the presence of scurs or slick spots. Those bulls noted as “scurs” typically have had scurs removed post-weaning. Pedigree: denotes sire, dam, and maternal grandparents. Summit Cow or Summit Sire: are noted in pedigrees with the word Summit or the abbreviation (Sum). Initially, a cow must calve at 30 months of age or younger. She must then maintain a calving interval of 380 days or less, weaning at least 3 calves with weaning weights recorded for all calves. Finally, the weaning weight ratio for all calves must average at least 105%. Once a Summit Cow has earned her distinction she will always be noted as such. A sire is given Summit status once he has at least 5 daughters reach Summit Cow status.
Individual Performance Birth Weight (BW): actual weight at birth, expressed in pounds. Weaning Weight (205): weaning weight adjusted to a constant 205 days. Takes into account differences in days of age at weaning time and age of dam at birth. Weaning Weight (Ratio): A direct comparison of an individual to all other individuals in its weaning contemporary group. Expressed as a percentage with 100 being the average for the group. Yearling Weight (365): yearling weight adjusted to a constant 365 days. Takes into account differences in days of age at yearling time, average daily gain post-weaning, and adjusted 205 weight. Yearling Weight (Ratio): A direct comparison of an individual to all other individuals in its yearling contemporary group. Expressed as a percentage with 100 being the average for the group. Scrotal Circumference (SC): testicular circumference, measured in centimeters, and adjusted to 365 days of age. Fat (FAT): measured in inches and adjusted to 365 days. Intramuscular Fat (IMF): measured as a percentage and used as a predictor of genetic marbling value. Ribeye Area (REA): measured in square inches and used as a predictor of ribeye size.
Age Group
Date of Birth Generation Fall 2010 EPDs
Expected Progeny Difference Expected Progeny Difference (EPD): The genetic predictor of how future progeny of each animal are expected to perform relative to the progeny of other animals listed in the breed database. EPD Accuracy: Since all bulls in this catalog are non-parents, their accuracies are the lowest calculated by our national sire evaluation program. Every EPD reported is either current or an interim EPD. An EPD noted with a “P” is a pedigree EPD which is the average of the parent’s EPDs. Birth Weight EPD (BW): expressed in pounds, predicts calf size and calving ease. Weaning Weight EPD (WW): expressed in pounds, is a predictor of an animal’s ability to transmit weaning growth to its progeny. Yearling Weight EPD (YW): expressed in pounds, is a predictor of an animal’s ability to transmit yearling growth to its progeny. Milk EPD (Milk): predicts a sire’s genetic merit for milk and mothering ability as expressed in his daughters compared to daughters of other sires. In other words, it is that part of a calf’s weaning weight attributed to milk and mothering ability. Maternal & Growth EPD (MG): expressed in pounds, a genetic predictor of weaning weight by blending a combination of maternal milk and weaning weight value. Scrotal Circumference EPD (SC): measured in centimenters at yearling time, predicts testicular size. Fat Thickness (FAT): expressed in inches, is a predictor of transmitting ability for external fat thickness and correlates to fleshing ability and fat cover at harvest time. Intramuscular Fat (IMF): expressed as a percentage, is a predictor of transmitting ability for marbling or intra-muscular fat correlating to USDA quality grade at harvest time. Ribeye Area (REA): expressed in square inches, is a predictor of transmitting ability of ribeye size and overall muscle mass which is a key component in USDA yield grades.

In the early stages of his life nursing beside his elite dam it was apparent this bull prospect was special, different, unique and destined for the big time. Everyone that saw him from those early stages to the time he sold as the $45,000 high selling yearling in the breed in 2006 always made the same statement, “you guys are right. He is the Real Deal. No question what his name was destined to be. MC Real Deal 541R3 has not only lived up to our early expectations but has surpassed and exceeded all we could have hoped for when we first laid eyes on in 2006. His value is not speculative but proven time and again with offspring verified to offer superior temperament, impressive fleshing ability, quality of design, soundness of skeleton, consistency of product, muscle, rib, fertility, and pasture survivability. His initial daughters have ideal milk and are the kind to raise that next generation of great herd sires. Need more proof. Easy fix. In our two previous bull sales our Real Deal sons have averaged $6800 and from this pool ten sons sold to registered seedstock herds. More will be sold in our 2010 sale offering. Finally, look no further than the next few pages in this catalog and you will find a set of Real Deal daughters that represent the highest level of quality one will find anywhere with the long term promise of cows certain to make donor females. Real Deal is a proven multiple trait leader ranking in the Top 30 bulls breedwide for Weaning Weight (WW), Yearling Weight (YW), Scrotal Circumference (SC), Ribeye Area (REA). Also destined to become a Total Maternal trait leader as well. The dam of Real Deal will rank as one of the Top Ten cows in the entire breed and offers near perfect phenotype, udder quality, pure and true milk value and impressive set of EPD values. MC Real Deal 541R3 has been the most important herd sire at Blackwater and we have used him extensively each of the last eight breeding seasons in all phases of our program. He is young, sound, very active, and has many more great breeding seasons in front of him. As difficult as this decision has been we feel the time is right for another great program to take full advantage of this incredible herd sire.

Visually stunning and teeming with all around breeding value this great cow has to rank as one of the Top Ten cows in the entire breed, certainly the best at Blackwater, and in our opinion the greatest cow in the breed! Very heavy statements but easily backed by facts of production, breeding value, and market values. Besides her outstanding donor dam the genetic component that makes 889P4 more unique than any other cow in the breed is the fact she is sired by the #1 bull in the entire Angus population for heifer pregnancy EPD value. Cool thing is we see this same valuable trait passed on to her daughters as indicated by their pregnancy rates at palpation times. Her first son of acclaim is the extraordinary young bull MC Nuff Said 889T50. Nuff Said has made friends all over the world and has now been used by practically all of the major genetic programs in the country due to his impressive consistency of producing the ideal Brangus offspring with rib, bone, thickness, and eye appeal. Since then she has produced more herd sires or herd sire prospects by Tank, Real Deal, Lead Gun, Nimitz, Rock Star, Jethro, and Real Deal 12U. With this new slate of exciting young herd sires just think of her possibilities with Something Special, OnStar, and so on. Pretty exciting possibilities when considering this great cow has only scratched the surface of what will be an extraordinary legacy. We sold the Pick of our 2009 Heifers in Houston this year for $23,000 to Vanna Farms. We have never sold a daughter of 889P4 but that selection narrowed down to four heifers, each a daughter of MC Ms Extravagant 889P4. Their selection ended up being BWCC Ms Lead Gun 889W28 and she just narrowly was picked over BWCC Ms Real Deal 889W3, the heifer now selling as Lot 3. The two bulls many will consider the best in this bull sale are each sons of 889P4. The only bull we are not selling from this age group and retaining for in herd use is also a son of 889P4. We put four heifers in an elite IVF collection program in the spring and two of those four were daughters of 889P4. Any serious seedstock program should consider owning this lot. She is sure fire and can’t miss. Add it all up. Nuff Said.

This amazing Summit Cow worked her way into the donor program and is not only an elite herd favorite but a cow many consider the best Lead Gun daughter in the breed. This big ribbed, wide topped heifer is a great example of blending the new with old and seeing the quality that comes from such a design. The old 88G cow was highly regarded in the old Camp Cooley program and these embryos were actually some of the first produced using Jethro in an ET collection. The 88G cow is a calving ease specialist with superior pure milk value and sired by the Summit Sire News Day. Of course Jethro needs little introduction as he has commanded a whole new level of what we can ask and expect Brangus cattle to do. Jethro is the only bull in the entire breed to rank in the Top Ten Trait Leader bulls for both REA and IMF.
Her dam is an impressive Summit Cow with one of the most remarkable calving intervals imaginable. She calved first in May of 2006 at 26 months of age and weaned that first calf at a remarkable adjusted weaning weight of 1032 lbs.! Amazingly enough she bred back and reduced her calving interval the following year. Now this cow has calved five times and each year she has reduced her calving interval and is now palpated to once again shorten up her calving interval in 2011. Did we mention she also has a milking index of 117% on those five calves weaned! Take that fertility and pure milk value and blend with the awesome power of Revelation who is the only bull in breed history to rank as the #1 Trait Leader for three separate traits.

She has clean lines, striking phenotype and could make your next show heifer prospect. A full sister to the previous lot and one that blends the same calving ease, high milk maternal side with the power, muscle, and marbling from her top side. Jethro will never have a huge number of progeny due to his early and untimely death. However, Jethro is certain to leave a mark few bulls can match considering his unparalleled blend of muscle and marbling. Jethro sires those kind with added thickness, plenty of rib, and a neat appearance that has brought a whole new dimension to what Brangus cattle can do and how they can look. Remember also that Jethro sired the $50,000 Something Special, the $49,000 OnStar, $38,000 Rock Star, and $30,000 Elegido just to name a few.
She is designed to offer milk value and calving ease considering she traces back through her pedigree to Exacto at least 12 times. Considering that genetic background it can be fun to consider the impressive offspring she can raise when bred to several of the young studs in our program today. Nuff Said, Real Deal, Something Special, Rock Star, OnStar, Too Cool are just a few sires that come to mind when thinking how to get the best from her future production. Her sire is a performance trait leader and in the Top 30 of proven sires for IMF EPD making him the highest marbling Blackhawk son in the entire breed. She is definitely sweet and is a member of our 2010 Super Sweet Sixteen offering.

His sire is a long time favorite and still used in our AI and ET programs at ten years of age. MC News Man 2K4 is the best News Man son in the breed, from the high selling cow in the entire breed in 2000, and also a maternal brother to MC Stryker 2S. This herd sire prospect is one of the long sided, widest topped bulls in the sale with plenty of rib, a big hip design, and superior eye appeal. His dam is a proven calf raiser with this 875 lb. weaning weight to her credit as a first calf heifer. She is ideal in size with a near perfect udder and now safe to calve for the third straight spring season. You cannot miss with this dominant sire choice.

He offers the most measured power of any bull in this sale offering when adding up weaning weight, yearling weight, carcass measures, and testicle size. He is off the chart for those items we measure and create breeding value from ranking in the top 1% for WW, YW, TM, REA, and IMF! Very serious data set for a very serious herd sire prospect. This easy tempered prospect is a brother to the $50,000 Something Special, the $49,000 OnStar, the $38,000 Rock Star, the $30,000 Elegido, and the list goes on. Their sire, MC Jethro 00S3, is the only bull in the breed to earn a spot on the Top Ten Trait Leader list for BOTH ribeye area AND IMF. Jethro is also a scrotal trait leader and probably work his way to the maternal list as well. The dam of the powerhouse prospect produced the $25,000 MC Hank 129T98 and is the #3 cow in the entire breed for WW while also ranking in the top 1% for yearling weight, top 2% for IMF, top 5% for REA, and top 3% for TM. MC Jethro 129W4 has obvious pounds but consider also his blend of a 17.8 in. REA and 6.2% IMF. Time for him to change your program.

Always inquisitive and always proudly showing off his stuff, this exciting Jethro son continued to measure up and finally came off test with a powerhouse data set across all traits. Moderate actual birth weight stretches to weaning and yearling weights well over 800 lbs. and 1300 lbs. respectively. Big testicles are evident and the carcass measures rank him as one of the very best you will find anywhere in the breed proven by his top 1% REA rank and 4% IMF rank. His dam represents the 415 clan made so popular in MC Jethro 00S3 the Camp Cooley program and now found Sire of Lot 79 in good programs around the country. This nice cow just weaned her fifth spring calve to maintain a calving interval of 360 days. Of course remember this MC Jethro 415W is a brother to the $50,000 Something Special, $49,000 OnStar, and $38,000 Rock Star.
Has to be a sale favorite for those herds needing power, pounds, EPD value, scrotal circumference, and carcass merit. He excels in all phases including soundness of movement and skeletal integrity. He is ideal in size, burly, masculine, heavy ribbed and overall the kind any good stockman will like. Just consider the sons he can sire and the daughters destined back in the herd. His dam is a Summit Cow with a 359 day calving interval for 6 spring seasons. Revelation, his sire, is the dominant powerhouse bull in the breed as the only bull in breed history to rank as the #1 Trait Leader for three traits that currently include WW, YW and REA with Maternal soon to follow. Look this one up. He’s unique and the kind to put the dollars and “sense” back in any herd.

Read the notes from Lots 1, 2, and 3 and you will get a great feel for this cool herd sire. We really believe in him after having bred him last spring in a group of registered heifers. Worked out great, came back in excellent body condition and has always been an easy tempered bull that we feel has many things very unique. Quite possibly the longest sided bull in the sale with impressive birth weight to yearling weight spread and measured a big ribeye with adequate marbling. All the measures aside 889W6 travels like a cat, looks the part, and is out of the cow we consider the greatest in the breed. Need proof of that statement. Refer to Lot 101, Lot 3, Lot 145, MC Nuff Said 889T50, and the next bull noted only as a Reference Sire. That collection of individuals is sired by four very different bulls yet this great cow pulled it all together with her unheralded ability to just out produce anything else. Take a son of hers home and you will never regret the decision. BW 205 80 834 BW WW -0.6 34

We have used MC Ms Extravagant 889P4 to capture breeding value with herd sires that we feel can contribute in some areas we want to explore from a breeding design point of view. We really like so much about Flight Deck and consider him the best Nimitz son in the breed and certainly out of a truly great cow. Flight Deck is unlike most Nimitz sons as evidenced by his huge ribeye, wide body, big testicles and overall phenomenal performance. Extremely long sided with plenty of body mass, thickness and overall eye appeal are suits we really like in Flight Deck. We know Nimitz will sire calving ease, superior milk and calf raising value, and obvious marbling. We now feel we can add to that resume with more pounds, muscle, and body mass. Time will tell but we feel this cool prospect will work well with our Real Deal, Tank, Jethro, Revelation influenced genetic lines.

The red carpet young first calf heifer selling as Lot 6 represents this cow family and is one we hope her new owner makes donor material in the future. In this 980 cow family we feel we have discovered a branch of this family tree that is teeming with consistent, high quality production. The dam of this burly herdbull prospect started our 980 clan and continues to be in our discussion when it comes time to select our next donor cows. She has a 367 day calving interval for her first five calves and has given us the dam of Lot 6 to consider in our donor program as well. This sale selection is stoutly built with plenty of rib, testicle size, and carcass quality. Certain to leave a legacy of good daughters and stockman bulls.
Herd sire prospect sure to put pounds on the scales at weaning time or on the rail at harvest time. From a favorite cow family at Iron Farm Cattle Company and one that has previously produced several other herd sires. This stout featured choice is big hipped, heavy ribbed, long sided, and heavy boned. His 115% nursing index stretches to a 1505 lb. yearling weight and highlighted with big testicles, plenty of marbling and an awesome ribeye. Our 301J5 daughters make near perfect udders and have near perfect hoof design. This one’s dam has a 359 day calving interval for four calves. Guess it has been said enough throughout this catalog but still remember MC Revelation 129T is the only bull in the breed to rank #1 breed wide for three traits!

Neat story behind this prospect from the highly regarded 111 family. His donor dam was a favorite of ours because she always did such a nice job bringing big calves to the weaning pen. She injured a hip in 2006 but we just could not bring ourselves to culling her at the time thinking she would work her way out of the program. In 2007 she weaned an 828 lb. calf, bred back and kept hobbling around. In 2008 she weaned an 825 lb. calf and just kept on hobbling around. That 2008 calf is now a herd sire for David Burke and now known as Hammer. We decided to collect her one time and capture a few more offspring and were rewarded with a couple of sons and an excellent daughter. This heavy boned, long sided, big ribbed son is the reason we gave that good cow one last try. She left a great legacy and continued the tradition of the acclaimed 111 cow family.

Powerful and dominating herd sire candidate with the design to put the beef back in the Brangus business. Is he the next Jethro of Nuff Said? Without question he can be the next breed changing bull. There is not another bull in this sale with more thickness, shape, top line design, rib capacity and overall power in performance and carcass merit. He is visually stunning and could dominant a show ring or turn everybody’s head in the pasture. Sound, mobile, and born to be great. His dam is the phenomenal donor and Summit Cow selling as Lot 4 and this makes him brother to Lots 130, 52 and 53! MC Tank 192W22 is a brother to Jethro, Nuff Said, Abrams, and the list goes on. In our opinion this amazing herdbull candidate could be the best to date and surpasses each of the just mentioned bulls in so many ways. Not often one like this comes around. Lot of folks kick themselves for missing the chance at Jethro or Nuff Said. Opportunity comes knocking again so don’t pass this one by!

This calving ease prospect has one of the longest hip designs in the fall yearlings which goes in hand with his extra long rib and extended front end design. Note he is a top 15% choice for light BW, top 2% for pure Milk, top 4% for TM, and top 15% for IMF. His dam is one of our outstanding cows from the 192 family and she has now raised three herd sire sons in a row. Her 2007 son brought $10,000 and her 2008 son is now at Southern Cattle Company. Good chance this version is her best to date? There will not be many cows in the breed to raise three herd sires in consecutive years. Sire of 192W11 is a trait leader for calving ease, pure milk, and marbling value. Nice genetic blend wrapped together here.
The best carcass prospect in this entire sale with the highest IMF measure and a huge ribeye. Impeccable breeding value blended from the Summit Cow and donor selling as Lot 4 blending in combination with the unmatched domination offered by Jethro . This herd sire prospect probably has as much rib capacity as any bull in this sale and certainly the pedigree, measurements, and EPDs to improve any herd in the country. He is a three-quarter brother to the $50,000 MC Something Special 129W14 with the same upside and breed dominating potential. EPDs speak volumes and his are near unchartered waters. Make a herd sire choice for your cow herd that can change your marketing outlook forever. Tired of other programs dominating the sale ring. That can end with one raised hand.

You can rest assured this will be as quality a set of commercial open heifers as will sell anywhere in the country this fall. The young cattle we are offering are pretty special and are all the front pasture kind. Most of the original commercial cattle in our program came from a large cow/calf operation in Texas that is considered second to none over there so we continue to take pride in the quality of heifers we annually sell during this event hoping to show folks we can raise and sell the same or higher quality. All these ranch raised heifers sell with a complete health care program centered around the Pfizer Select Vac guidelines consisting of two rounds given October 1 and November 1 to include Bovishield Gold 5 FP for IBR, PI3, BRSV, BVD; Ultrabac 7 for Clostridials; Lepto Vibrio; dewormed with Dectomax injectable; and all Brucellosis vaccinated. All heifers have had Blackleg and boostered at weaning time. The 150 open heifers will be individually tagged and sorted prior to the sale for quality, consistency, and uniformity of size, type, and color. These Brangus heifers and Brangus Baldie type heifers will sell in groups of five and ten head. Our auctioneer will sell the cattle on a per head basis times the number of heifers in each lot. The heifers will be on display in their respective lots prior to and during the sale.

150 Open Heifers Will Sell From Blackwater Cattle Company, Lake Park, Georgia
Is he the best bull in this sale? Be hard to argue he is not. Is he the best Lead Gun son ever raised? We certainly believe he is and certainly he is out of the best cow of any Lead Gun son raised to date. But we also believe his dam, MC Ms Extravagant 889P4 is the best cow in the breed. Pretty big statements on all accounts but we have evaluated this remarkable prospect about any way you can and we just feel he is the most complete and fault-free compared to any of his brothers. Again, he is sure out of a cow unlike any others before him. This easy tempered herd sire is so complete in design with an ideal underline, perfect frame, big rib, and overall attractive appearance. He has extraordinary tabulation ranking in the top 10% for BW, WW, YW, TM, and REA and still in upper 30% for IMF and 20% for pure milk. His claim to fame is not just pure numbers but the package of blending design with measures with genetic predictors. Gotta admit, when one of the top dominating sires of his era blends with one of the great all-time good cows in breed history is it any wonder that we ended up with the best representative of each family?
