It is my pleasure to invite you to our annual Angus Hill Sale on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 at 1 p.m. Please plan to join us on Friday, August 25th for a preview of the cattle followed by dinner, dancing, and fellowship. The preview starts at 4 p.m. and the dinner will be at 6 p.m. It is my ultimate goal to make sure that everyone that attends this event has a fantastic experience.

This year we will be offering 29 elite lots that combine carcass power and stunning phenotype. This year our offering is smaller, but the genetic potential is even more powerful than years past.

When putting a sale list together we always start with selecting cattle that are sound, functional, and express an overall phenotypic dominance. The second step is to select those animals that push the envelope for carcass merit.

The third step to having a successful sale is having the input of Parker Friedrich and Matt White. I respect and cherish their insight and guidance over the past 20 years. Their honest appraisal of each sale animal, for both the seller and the buyer, is unmatched in this business.

I recognize that this sale would not be possible without the help of Todd Hill, Pedro Gomez, and Mark Messinger. Their hard work, consistency, and 365 days a year dedication is the key to our success. I once again thank them, as well as all of my family, friends, and neighbors that make this sale happen year after year.

I realize that it is a large commitment for many of you to travel to Angus Hill Farm, and I appreciate your effort. Coming from the North (Buffalo Niagara Int’l Airport - Approximately 1 hour 49 minutes):

Go west on Genesee St. / RT-33 toward Luiz F Kahl Way. Turn left onto Union Rd. / RT-277S and go 8.8 miles. Turn left onto Orchard Park Rd. / RT-240 / RT-277 and go 3.7 miles. Turn right onto New Armor Duells Rd. and travel just 0.8 miles then you will merge onto US-219 S via the ramp on the left toward Springville. Take the South 219 Exit. Go 0.2 miles and turn right onto Peters Rd. / US-219 and then left onto US-219. Go 13.7 miles and then turn right onto RT-242 / US-219. Continue to follow RT-242. Go 9.3 miles and then turn left onto RT-242 / Fair Oak St. Continue to follow RT-242 for 10 miles then turn right on RT 394 / Main St. Continue for approximately 6 miles then turn left onto Torrence Rd. In 1 mile farm will be on your left.

Coming from the West (Cleveland-Hopkins

Int’l Airport - Approximately 2 hours 54 minutes): Go west on Riverside Dr. toward Park Rd. Turn left onto Park Rd. and go 0.2 miles then turn left and merge onto OH-237 N via the ramp on the left toward I-71 / Cleveland / I-480 and go 0.5 miles. Merge onto Berea Fwy., which becomes I-71 N. Go 8.6 miles and I-71 N becomes I-90 E (crossing into Pennsylvania). Go 109.1 miles then merge onto I-86 E via Exit 37 toward Jamestown (crossing into New York). Go 48.6 miles then take West Main St. exit, Exit 16, toward Randolph / Gowanda. Go 0.3 miles and take turn sharp right onto West Main St. then go 0.4 miles. Take the 1st left onto Torrence Rd. and in 1 mile farm will be on your left.

Coming from the South: Take 219 North to I-86 West then take Exit 16. Coming from Central PA: Take 79 North to I-90 towards Buffalo then take I-86 East, Exit 16, and follow signs to auction. Farm is approximately 1 mile from I-86.

Coming from the East: Take I-86 West to Exit 16. Turn left about 0.1 miles then turn left on Torrence Rd. Farm is approximately 1 mile on the left.

HERD HEALTH:

Cattle will be accompanied with proper health certificates for immediate shipment. An updated breeding and calving report will be available sale day and announcements from the auction block will take precedence over all printed material.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

The cattle will sell under the suggested Terms and Conditions of the American Angus Association (http://www.angus.org/Pub/ suggested_sale_terms.pdf). All announcements from the auction block take precedence over printed materials.

TRUCKING:

DJ Johnson 610-223-3598 and Tom Snell 580-374-4168 will be available sale day. Cattle may be loaded following the sale but can remain at the sale site until trucking arrangements can be made or pickup arranged. If you are unable to haul your own cattle, truckers known to be reliable will be on hand to assist you.

LIVESTOCK INSURANCE:

LIABILITY:

All persons attending the sale and related functions do so at their own risk. Angus Hill Farm and the sale management and staff, assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents or injuries that may occur. The sale manager is only an agent for the seller and has no responsibilities other than that involved in conducting the sale.

SALE

All cattle are to be settled for prior to load out unless prior arrangement has been made with Angus Hill Farm or sale management. Terms are Cash or Check.

A lunch prepared by Dinosaur BBQ will be served Saturday at Noon.
