Welcome H
ello and welcome to the 1st Campbell Cattle Perfection Collection. We are humbled that you are taking the time to view the offering and we thank you for your interest. I am so excited for you to meet Scott Campbell and his family, if you haven’t yet.
You’ll see as you go though the offering that Scott has acquired shares in the greatest cows the Charolais breed has to offer. But what the catalog won’t tell you is the young cows and new donors he has added to his herd, including total outcross genetics and some truly exciting cattle from Canada.
Scott is one of the most determined and dedicated individuals I have ever been around in the business! In life you come across certain people who you just know will be successful in what ever they set their mind to in life. Scott with his wife, Lisa beside him, encouraging him every step a long the way is one of those people. They have two of the sweetest little boys in Logan and Bryce, who will be joining in the task of generating better cattle the second they get a little bigger and together they are a family, who will have an impact.
I’ll leave you with final thought about Campbell Cattle and Scott Campbell, and that’s integrity. Their integrity is the number one reason that one should do their business in Roseville on the 19th at The Perfection Collection. Years ago some one told me,“sort the people, then the stock.” The cattle are only as good as the people behind the cattle. Scott is kind enough to run some of my stepdaughters’ past show heifers for me and when you’re on the road 40 weeks a year, you simply have to have someone you trust 110%. So when I tell you, that you can trust Scott when spending your money or helping with your children’s show heifers, I’m not putting a sales pitch on you, know that I do that with mine.
Campbell Cattle progressed from a typical cow-calf operation to a recognized herd with a great reputation for producing quality club calves across the Midwest. Scott and his family have bred and placed champions on the local, state, and national levels for many years. A few years ago Scott made the decision to slowly shift the focus of his herd from show steers to Maine, Simmental, and Chi breeding cattle. He saw more value in producing females for the show ring and for junior heifer projects and saw the demand year-round for quality breeding stock. About that same time he caught a case of Charolais fever, and dove into the breed headfirst…. Now this isn’t a bad thing--as I must admit that I too get the case of the shakes around good white cattle. I share that last part, because I’ve been a witness first hand to what Scott has been doing the last few years and I know how strong their foundation is and the promise and potential is there to just get better!
Videos will be available the week of the sale. We can arrange delivery anywhere in the country and have along track record of satisfied customers. Please feel free contact me to discuss the offering. As always, if I can assist you in any way please feel free to contact me.

In our first ever production sale, deciding lot 1 was the easiest thing for me to do and this is mating it had to be. The list of national champion full siblings is extensive. These girls were born and bred to not only be super competitive in the show ring, but also to be in your donor pen. I truly believe that lot 1 is built very similar to her national champion sisters, but she is longer and sleeker through her front one-third. 1A is a little later maturing, but someone who is a true believer in this mating will get a big payoff with this one. Dig in deep here. There aren’t many sure things in this business, but Firewater x 0641 is as close as it gets.

I had a very sharp cattleman tell me one time, “Before a great cow dies, you should mate her to her best son. I am not claiming that I know very much, but I do know two things: 1. 0641 is a great cow. 2. It worked. These two females are everything we had hoped for when we did this. Lot 2 has all of the positive attributes of a donor cow. She is easy fleshing, deep sided, wide pinned and perfect structured. Lot 2A is built very similar to her older sister, but has a shot more muscle shape and is more extended. We truly wanted to offer our best, so here are these two unique sisters for your evaluation. We would love to stay hooked on these breed-changing donors, but the option is yours to double up and solely own these cutting edge genetics. Offering 50% interest with option to double the hammer price to own 100%.

This is a little different twist on the old cow here. These are easily the most moderate, easy fleshing offspring we have had out of 0641. Lot 3 is simply a massive female. She is super, heavy muscled, stout featured and gives you a functional look. 3A is very up-headed and smooth in her design. Both have great attitudes and are a move in the right direction to make Charolais cattle better.

Her picture itself has garnered so much attention, that my phone won’t stop ringing about lot 4. She is absolutely impeccable in her design. Without a doubt, she is flawlessly structured, perfect hipped, flat shouldered and possesses a rib shape that cattle of this breed simply do not have often. I am so excited about her future and I recently acquired part of her sire. When you unload her at the show, the Charolais people won’t know what to think and the people leading black ones will be scared to death. She has a pedigree stacked with national champions and an unmatched phenotype. Get in and stay in on this one.

We had high expectations here. Simply put, our expectations were exceeded. Where there are subtle differences in all of these heifers, the consistent quality is amazing. I think that no matter where you show them they will be quite competitive. More importantly, they will produce as cows. I have been highly entertained by some very astute cattlemen trying to sort these sisters. They claim one as their favorite and then seconds later a different one walks by and they have a new favorite. There is so much quality here that you cannot go wrong.

Daisy is a female we have always admired from afar. So when we had the chance to own these genetics we jumped on it. This is the epitome of what a show heifer should look like. She is long bodied, long necked and long haired. She is just a June baby, so she is just starting to come together. Be a believer here. She is out of a great cow and a great bull. From birth this one has been very stylish in her look and elegant on the move. She was long and soft haired as a calf. She’s bold sprung and wide pinned. There will NOT, I repeat not be a longer fronted, better looking composite selling anywhere this fall. Her mother is quickly moving to the front of our donor program. Every calf she has produced has for a premium to date out of multiple sires. Her Turton daughter will do exactly the same. She is so freaky everywhere in her shape that she cannot be missed in the ring. I feel like this one will be a big time bred heifer.
I got a call from my buddy Jeff Paulsen, a couple of falls ago. He told me he had found the one I needed. He knew I was looking for an outcross future donor and he dang sure found her. This heifer’s mother won the Kansas State fair last year and is one you will hear more from in the future. This is her first calf and you can see why we are so wound up about her impact in her herd! This daughter is so smooth from nose to tail, perfect on her feet and still maintains awesome balance. A big thank you to Jeff, Dunk and Brig for making this one and for the many more to come from this cow possible.

She comes to us out of a heifer they purchased from me and who had a very successful show season. He is a guy after my own heart, in the fact that you can’t have too much 0641 in a pedigree. We know that it looks like we have got white heifer crazy around here but the black ones aren’t leaving any time soon, especially when we can make them look like this. She is an outlier in her breed as far as body and structure and still maintains the extension and presence that we are all accustomed to seeing out of Maine Anjou cattle.
Without a doubt, we all know the reputation of the Whiskey cattle when it comes to producing as cows. I truly believe that this one is special among her contemporaries. She is so right in all of her pieces to produce great ones. There are a few differences between her and the rest of the females in the country out of this bull. To start with, she will be a competitive show heifer. Also, the shot of Chiangus on the maternal side of her pedigree gives her additional punch and extension. sire Maximus dam Full Throttle AI’ed on 4/25/2016 to Heat Wave. PE to Strikin Gold from mid June to mid August. I simply cannot say enough about this particular cow. She is one of my all time favorites. I love her pedigree, I love her phenotype and I love what she has done for us here. This year alone we sold 3 Monopoly steers out of her. She throws a high percentage of baldies and a higher percentage of quality. If we weren’t changing gears around here you simply wouldn’t be able to buy her from us. Believe me, many people have tried. Now is your opportunity to own this matriarch.

AI’ed on 6/9/2016 to Monopoly 4. PE to Strikin Gold from mid June to mid August. This is a cool bred, phenotypically outstanding cow. She has never been bred to a clubby bull before. Monopoly will work here.
Bred on 6/22/2016 to a full brother to Hard Whiskey. Old school breeding in an outstanding package. There are new bulls to use out there every year but there is a good reason that Witch Doctor continues to be used by some of the nations best cattlemen. This female shows you why.
