JENSEN RANCH FEMALE SALE

First of all, we would like to thank you all for your time spent studying our program here at Jensen’s.

We would like to welcome you to attend The Chosen Sale where we host our “live” female sale in Louisburg. This event has become a special day for our family to showcase our program to you all.

We sincerely appreciate the Sanders Ranch, Steve Sanders and manager Darrin Barbour for allowing us to hold this special event at their ranch and sale facility. Their time preparing the sale facilities is very valuable and we thank them for their time.

As time passes and generations change our ranch has taken a change this summer. Our long time hired man; Eddie Sandberg has decided to spend more time with his young family. We have been blessed to have Eddie a big part of our operation and family since he was in college. Eddie has been a big part of our daily operations and we appreciate all the hours and loyalty he has put into the ranch. Thank you for your time, Eddie!

Our son Brady and his family moved back to be part of the operation December 2022. Brady’s role has now expanded at the ranch as he helps manage the cattle and marketing. We look forward to the new ideas Brady will bring to the ranch and we feel blessed to have our Brady working with us daily.

Our youngest son Ben has started Law school at Washburn, in Topeka, Kansas and we are proud of his dedication to his career as well as the time he has helped on the ranch.

Our daughter Brooke’s family is growing with a new grandson this past April and the joy of having family close and involved brings us great pleasure.

We have had another year of extreme dry weather and time shows us how the Hereford cattle can take these conditions and prove themselves. Kevin and Brady have made many mating decisions to offer this year’s sale cattle as well as our bull program and we are proud to shoaw you, our results.

Please join us Thursday early evening for the pre-sale social and cattle viewing that afternoon as you make your way to Kansas City to the Annual meetings and the American Royal. It is a short drive out to the scenic Louisburg area and a great evening of Hereford fellowship has become a tradition.

We look forward to visiting with you all and thank you for your time!

Kevin and Sheila Jensen

P.S. Our 2025 Chosen Sale will “ FEATURE THE HEART OF OUR COWHERD ” We are excited to offer this special sale during the 2025 World Hereford Conference and American Royal!

Thank you for your time

JENSEN BROS HYFA LOT- FOUNDATION 1 CAMPAIGN

The Foundation 1 Campaign is a way for ranches, families and industry partners who believe strongly in helping future generations to give back. By joining the Foundation 1 movement, donors commit to giving back 1 percent of their sale proceeds to the Hereford Youth Foundation of America to benefit leadership, scholarship and educational experiences for Hereford youth. The Foundation 1 Campaign continues to grow and each year as more and more donors come together with a percentage of their sales and is making a huge impact as we work together to strengthen the pillars for National Junior Hereford Association members and the next generation of the cattle industry.

- A phenomenally elegant, beautifully designed and elite structured female leads off this year’s Chosen Sale and is deservingly named “Perfect Miss”.

- Perfect Miss has a second to none presence that demands your attention and a feminine build and stout hip and hind leg shape that backs up why we love this heifer.

- Her mother “F31” has established herself as one of the great cows on our place. Those that have toured the last couple of summers have her marked as one of the most picturesque cows in production they have seen.

- F31 has proven she can raise cattle for all sectors of the beef industry. Her standout son “Rancher”, who we own in partnership with Wiese and Sons, has sired a great set of calves this year and we will highlight his sons at the NWSS this winter.

- Coco’s Marie is the stoutest hipped, biggest boned and most powerful female of the sale. We believe this Tomahawk heifer will hit a show ring with the mass and loose structural design it takes to be competitive.

- We think it is her type and kind that can be very productive as she hits that stage of her life.

- Coco Crème has become a household name in the show cattle world and we are so blessed to have had her as a mainstay in our operation. We lost Coco last fall and this will be one of the final opportunities to acquire a direct daughter.

- You will find three flush sisters of this mating in The Chosen Sale and they are all peas in a pod. The Impact x 328F mating was recreated after the 2023 crop was born because the functional, maternal type with a dark red color and a consistent type across the whole flush was so desirable.

- We will bring our three favorites to Louisburg to offer to the public. They are hard to part with and can be staples in a productive herd for many years. - Feminine, big bodied, sound practical describes yet another great Misty female.

We think the pictures speak for themselves on our “FALL BORN PICK OF THE HERD”. In fact, we could add another page of past fall Division winners bred by Jensen Bros. Our fall born heifer sale was so deep we were fortunate to have them bring home many banners at the JNHE and other fairs for their buyers. This is the opportunity to get the first look and selection of the falls at Jensen Bros. It has become a highlight each year as well as a crowd favorite with inquiries from some of the most respected operations in the Hereford Breed. Jensen Bros have been fortunate to capture many fall division Championships over the past decade at the JNHE. We would like to thank Brumley Ranches for purchasing the pick three years in a row which shows us how satisfied they are with their picks. These females have brought home many banners and are now becoming donors in their program.

This year’s matings are out of some of our top young donors as well as natural calves by Harvester and Liberty.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE ELITE OPPORTUNITY TO DIVE RIGHT INTO THE HEART OF OUR FALL PROGRAM.

- We are excited to share the first flush ever offered on 7603. Kevin brought this female into our program as his selection of the Birdwell offering a few years ago and the proof of her quality has been established in her progeny. Her blend of phenotype, udder quality, and producing ability is hard to put together, especially when she can add in her carcass genetics and performance genetics to a mating.

-Just this year she has raised two high selling standouts. Element 019L, the $95,000 bull purchased by Fawcett, Upstream and Breezewood Hills Farm, LLC, who was crowned at Denver as the Reserve Champion. Plus, a previous The Chosen Sale heifer was dispersed in the C&L sale early this fall sired by Benton for $80,000.

- We have been striving to breed the best Hereford cattle we can by pairing great cows and sires that have superior phenotypes and genotypes to constantly improve the breed that we love so dearly, and we offer this lot with so much anticipation.

- KJ 753D CHER K68 ET is as close to PERFECT as we feel we have created.

- Her balance of progressive traits on her EPD scripted is rarely achieved and we confidently say she is the best 2-year-old female we have raised and calved out .

- Find her on sale day with her rockstar On Demand heifer calf who has an unbelievable EPD profile and a cowy type! Great work for a great cow getting started.

- Her teats and udder structure are perfect, she is elegant, stout, sound, and did her job on her first calf.

- The only On Demand sired female in this offering out of a cow we think as highly of as any female we have been a part of.

- Cher is a broody bodied, good footed and ultra-functional built female.

- Her EPD profile proves great Hereford cattle can have BOTH! A tremendous phenotype and BREED LEADING EPDS.

-At the time of footnotes she is in the top 5% of the breed for 12 EPD’s!
