Bidding All lots sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or challenges regarding bids will be settled by the Auctioneer. His decision will be final.

Absentee Bidding If you will not be able to attend the sale, please contact the Sale Manager, Sale Consultant, Auctioneer or Sale Staff in advance to secure your bidder number and place your orders.

Terms Terms of sale are cash unless credit arrangements are made between buyer and seller prior to sale. All lots offered sell under the standard terms and conditions endorsed by the American Shorthorn Association.

Registrations All animals selling are registered with the American Shorthorn Association unless otherwise stated. Registration certificates will be transferred to the new owner. Please be sure to leave complete and accurate transfer instructions with the sale clerk at time of settlement.

Announcements Any changes of information contained in a sale catalog will be announced from the auction block and such announcements shall take precedence over any printed material. Health All animals will be accompanied by proper health certificates making them eligible for interstate shipment. It is the responsibility of the buyer to know the health requirements of his/her home state.

Certificates of Registry-Transfers A certificate of registry and transfer will be furnished for each animal sold. It shall be the responsibility of the seller and/or sale manager to submit the properly prepared transfer application promptly to the American Shorthorn Association.

Purchaser’s Risk Each animal becomes the property of the buyer as soon as sold, unless other arrangements are made prior to the sale.

Genetic Condition Disclaimer The seller is responsible for disclosure of all known Genetic Condition Abnormalities at the time of sale.

Standard Breeding Guarantee All animals sell under the terms and conditions of the American Shorthorn Association Standard Breeding Guarantee.

Lasting Impressions Sale

Welcome Shorthorn Family and Cattle Enthusiast Friends,

Once again, we are very proud and excited to host the “Lasting Impressions, 2023 Sale”.

For us, this year’s Lasting Impressions Sale is very exciting as it is really the first opportunity to share with others some of the genetics we have assembled the past couple of years. In 2021 we decided to invest heavily in a number of high quality bred females from leading Shorthorn herds to step up and to reposition our program with cattle that both looked good, performed well and also had the strength of EPD’s that would measure up well in the competitive beef cattle business.

An example of that investment are the bulls you will see in this offering. Each one was purchased in dam and has been consistently scale weighed and recorded on Digital Beef from birth to yearling and that information along with scrotal circumference and frame size is available under their individual performance on Digital beef. Each bull has a very strong EPD profile and those EPD’s will be genomically enhanced.

All of the consignors appreciate the impact and important role that Junior Show and Open shows play with shorthorn cattle. As you watched the 2022-2023 Show Season unfold, we hope you noticed that many of the 2022 Lasting Impressions Consignors and their cattle had great success at State and National Shows. The successes included Reserve National Show Bull of the Year honors won by LDB Braveheart, the Res Grand Market Steer at 2023 Junior Nationals, the Nebraska State Fair Champion Female, the Champion Shorthorn Female at AKSARBEN, the Champion ShorthornPlus female at the Minnesota Preview show are but a small sample of cattle from Lasting Impressions that achieved a high level of success.

We are very excited about the offering of cattle and frozen genetics that are again being offered in the 2023 version of the Lasting Impressions sale! We think you will find that the consignors are bringing an outstanding compliment of phenotypic quality and genetics that will be sure to please.

As the Host, we want to thank our dear friends and consignors that have put so much effort into their breeding programs, into preparing their cattle and extending the same customer service that is so very important to us.

This one is really hard to let go. The rule you cant keep them all comes to mind with this decision. This is an elite, no holes kind of female. She is so good at the ground, with great foot size, bone, and flex. Derek and Brock Jungels get credit for making 204K, a real Cattleman’s beef bull and it has been our pleasure to watch him from birth become the herdsire that he is today. 204K was purchased in the high selling bred heifer in Jungels sale 2 years ago. What a mama she is and what a son she has produced. JC Bond carries intercontinental Shorthorn genetic influences from top programs in Australia, Canada and the United States. Interestingly, his genetic profile continues to climb in nonparent EPD’s and the resulting $ indexes to the point that he is now in the top 10% of the breed for $BMI, $F, Marbling, and Calving ease. His mother’s nearly perfect udder will be another bonus on his daughter’s as well.
