At Pearcy Angus Ranch, we take great pride in our commitment to producing top-quality Angus cattle through our innovative breeding practices. Our special breeding program revolves around the use of artificial insemination with our carefully selected top Angus sires across the U.S. With meticulous attention to detail and phenotype, we ensure that every Angus female is thoughtfully matched with the most suitable sire, creating offspring with enhanced, but balanced, Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs). In addition, we utilize American Angus’s inbreeding coefficient tool to help assure with every mating we have the lowest inbreeding coefficient possible.

To further elevate our genetic pool, we have a dedicated team overseeing our elite Angus donor cows in our Embryo Transfer (ET) program. Our top-quality Angus cows contribute to the exceptional genetics that define our herd’s exceptionalism. By leveraging advanced reproductive technologies, we consistently introduce superior genetics into our breeding program, strengthening the performance, phenotype, and quality of our Angus cattle.

In addition to genetic excellence, we place a strong emphasis on temperament and performance on grass pastures. We strive to ensure that all our Angus are easy to work with, exhibiting docile and manageable behavior. This focus on temperament extends to their performance on grass pastures, where our cattle thrive and consistently deliver impressive results to our ranch and to our customers.

We intentionally mention Lot 31 which will go specifically to our son’s (Vance H. Pearcy) TCU scholarship fund that will benefit TCU students who require financial aid because of their family’s hardship. At age 31, our beloved son passed away far too soon (epilepsy) prior to attending a TCU football game in 2021. We dedicate Lot 31 to the scholarship in Vance’s memory.

Welcome everyone to the 2023 Annual Pearcy Angus Ranch Sale. I am excited about this offering that the Pearcy Angus Ranch Family has put together. It showcases their elite program as good as any of the past events. The Pearcy Angus program continues to be built around real world, highly maternal, functional cows that excel on GRASS and have carcass traits and curve bending growth EPDs with sound structure and attractive phenotypes. As our industry continues to drive us to decrease input cost to increase outputs, cattle that can perform on grass and still maintain carcass values are the wave of the future. It’s a gratifying experience on my part to be involved in a program that is highly conscious of these real world traits and know that the cow is just as important as the finished product.

Getting into the sale offering, we lead this event with an awesome Wildcat daughter out of a maternal sister to No Substitute. This one is flat holes-free in her EPD Profile, has a pedigree that is highly proven and has a phenotype that will make her a competitive P&G heifer. Folks, this one is big-time good! Lots 2 and 3 ET calves both offer unique EPD profiles and fresh pedigrees, and both deserve the donor pen for the future. The yearling heifers are sexy and good, and I especially like the Lot 6 heifer. The spring bred heifers are highlighted by the Lot 8 heifer.
