PVF Angus 5th Annual Fan Production Sale

Page 1

FRIDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 4, 2024

We take the business of breeding better Angus seriously. We understand that you have many options of where to invest in Angus genetics, so we attempt to go above and beyond to differentiate ourselves.

DNA TESTING ... We began DNA testing every female born at PVF nine years ago. Animals in this sale have been DNA verified for parentage and display genomically enhanced EPDs. We believe the more you know about your purchase the more predictable the outcome will be not only as a show project but as a breeding piece. This starts with making sure that the animal you buy is exactly what we think it is.

HERD HEATH ... In addition to our normal herd health vaccinations, all sale heifers have had calfhood Brucellosis vaccination and were BVD tested, with results appearing with their DNA results on the American Angus Association website. We realize many shows require this test so we can provide that information for you if necessary.

DISPOSITION ... We understand that most of these calves will see the showring and in many cases with younger exhibitors. These calves have not only been broke to tie but have also been led extensively and had show stick work. This does not necessarily mean they are show broke and they will still need work at their new homes, but we have done our best eliminate any potential problems. If you have specific questions or concerns, please contact us.

IDENTIFICATION ... All animals have tattoos in both ears and have visual as well as EID tags. EID information has been submitted to the American Angus Association and is on file as the primary identification with tattoo as secondary. Tattoos fade and EIDS get lost so please double check before showing and let us know if there are any issues we can help with.

REGISTRATION ... All animals are registered with the American Angus Association. Papers are stored electronically and ready for immediate transfer upon payment.

PHOTOS & VIDEOS current as of September 6, 2024. EPD VALUES current as of September 6, 2024.

We’ve had an amazing summer at PVF. Lots of banners brought home for customers from not just one cow family but many. It is so exciting to see how our customers have succeeded and their efforts have paid off at the local, state, regional and national level. Below you’ll see some of the fruits of the efforts of those people last summer with heifers that were purchased in last fall’s production sale.

But we don’t want to rest on our most recent laurels. As anyone who shows cattle knows, wins come and wins go. We’ve been in the limelight, but what we are most proud of is the power of the cow families and herd sires with our prefix attached to them. These calves that won this year will be in the winner’s circle soon for a different reason. To add to the maternal value of the herds that they are joining.

There are so many places you can buy cattle, but we are honored you’ve come to see ours. We stand by our history as much as our recent winnings, and are here to stand by you as you take your project home and make your own history.

Please let Alan know if you have any questions about this offering. And join us at 5:30 p.m. for a meal and 6:30 p.m. for the sale on Friday October 4th.

- Alan, Theresa, Brandon, Cathy, Kurt, Kyle & Brecken

PVF PROVEN QUEEN 4212

Leading off with one of the top donor cow and show heifer prospects to ever leave PVF, this heifer is undoubtedly worthy of carrying the title of Lot 1. Two full sisters featured in last fall’s PVF Production Sale averaged $45,000, and PVF Proven Queen 3034 went on to be the Supreme Champion Female at the California Youth Expo for Cambria Cook. Good Times progeny have been extensively featured in our past production sales, and he has quickly moved up the list of elite show heifer sires in the Angus Breed. As our first Good Times daughters enter production this year, their maternal qualities indicate that they are sure to be elite producers once their show career ends.
