A Busy and Exciting Fall Ahead

The show season has started to get into full swing. Cassie and myself have had a blast traveling to all the superregional and national shows this year so far. We have really enjoyed getting to know breeders and connecting faces with the voices we talk to over the phone while in the office. We look forward to continuing to make those connections with breeders as we travel to more shows this fall.

It seems like time is only speeding up and before we know it the American Royal and Annual Meeting will be here.

We ask that if you are having any stalling requests for the American Royal, please get those sent into Cassie or myself via email. We will try our best to accommodate everyone needs.

Just a reminder that that check-in for the American Royal is Wednesday October 20th, 2021. Since the Shorthorn breed has had a gradual increase in numbers, which is a great thing to see, they have broken our show into two days. Thursday, October 21st, 2021, will be the Junior Purebred Shorthorn Show and Junior ShorthornPlus Show. Open Purebred Shorthorn and ShorthornPlus Shows will follow on Friday, October 22nd, 2021.

We are excited to kick off our 150th Year Celebration at the Annual Meeting which will be held Saturday, October 23rd, 2021. There will be a social held at the ASA Office the evening of Friday, October 22nd, 2021, to kick off the celebration and we invite all who can attend to join us. There are many things to look forward to this year at annual meeting such as Shorthorn Trivia, awarding the Regional Show Winners from 2019- 2020, awarding the National Show Winners from 2019- 2020 and 2020-2021, and the launch of the 150th Shorthorn Book.

We are excited to kick the 150th year off! Make your weekend plans now to join us first at the American Royal to watch or participate in the show and then at the Annual Meeting.

This is also your reminder if you received a ballot for the delegate election process, to please be sure to return the fully completed ballot back to the ASA office by September 7, 2021! =
