PRODUCTION SALE

WELCOME... WOW! I can’t believe five years have already gone by! A lot of things have changed since we first started this sale, and a lot of progress has been made. This year, we are confident to say it shows. We are so excited for not only the cattle we have to offer, but what our consignors will be bringing as well! The variety of genetic opportunities offered here are definitely unique outcrosses that everyone can use. Like we always say here at JM, “There’s something for everyone.” Thank you to all of the breeders and juniors who have supported and believed in us. We are so thankful to have such great friends and support, especially in the Shorthorn breed. But, we are even more grateful to say that we do this as a family and everybody does their part. Raising quality cattle and being involved in the livestock industry is a passion our WHOLE family shares; that’s what drives us to do what we do everyday. Between all of the existing grandchildren, the new one on its way (we are SUPER excited for Tanner & Andrea!), and all of the junior exhibitors and families we work with, we are eager to see where the next five years take us! Time flies when you are having fun! See you sale day! JM Cattle Co.

SSF Playmate VT 0204 is becoming one of our most powerful donors here at JM. Not only can she produce, but she’s one that you love to look at. This is one of the better sets of heifers we have offered, and I can truly say they are all good in their own right. Plus, what makes them an even better buy? OUTCROSSES. These four heifers are functional, HIGH QUALTIY, heifers that can be intergrated into anyone’s program. This is a great genetic opportunity, DO NOT MISS OUT.

This heifer is my sentimental favorite. Her mother is the oldest cow on the farm and goes back to one of my son’s first heifers 20 plus years ago which ended up as a Reserve All-American. The cow family comes from the same matriarch of the Primabellas. This is the first heifer this cow has produced. The only reason she is in the sale is our plan to flush her mother next year. The Dream Big bull was purchased from Bob Duis prior to his dispersal sale. Although Bob did not have a lot of calves on the ground from Dream Big, I thought the calves as a progeny group were stellar. This heifer is extremely attractive and many visitors to the farm pick her as their favorite. Dutch Acres

I always admired Josh Greenhorn’s Sonny daughter from Augusta Pride 3127 which is now a Sullivan donor. Everyone is aware of the prices of the first lot of heifer calves from that donor in 2010. The closest we could get to duplicating those genetics was by purchasing a flush from the full sister of that great donor and flushing her to Bloodstone. The genetics need no further introduction. She is typical of those you have already seen, soft made, deep and that great Pride front end. Dutch Acres

Pasture exposed to CS Adventure 08U ET “Bone” 4/23/12 to 7/1/12. Examined safe. Projected due date 2/1/13. Typically at fall sales heifer calves get most of the attention, but I am sure that this female will demand her share of the spotlight on sale day. Princess T515 is bred to our newest herd bull “Bones” whose dam is SS Augusta 7115 and sire is WHR Sonny. Regardless of the sale price, her 2013 calf by “Bones” has the potential to pay for your investment. The money made from selling flush rights will be icing on the cake.
