Dear Sterling College Alumni and Friends, Can you hear it? Smell it? Fall is in the air and Smisor Stadium is packed with the Sterling College family. The Homecoming musical, Oklahoma!, class reunions, Homecoming Hangout, Alumni Banquet, Reunion Post-Game at Sterling Lake, varsity sports and much more await you in Sterling, October 13-15, for Homecoming 2016. “We Are Sterling” is the Homecoming theme for 2016, and we want you to join us on campus to relive the Sterling experience that is the heritage of Sterling College. Reconnect with friends, the College and with the Kingdom work that equips servant leaders to impact our world. Share your memories with old friends. This workshop is designed to help parents and students understand the importance of meeting FAFSA deadlines as changes in the submission date impacts priority deadlines for limited funds.

PARENTS’ INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP: OPTION 2 2 – 2:45 p.m. | Exploration Lab 1, Cooper Hall Reservations are strongly encouraged. This workshop is designed to help parents and students understand the process for applying for and receiving outside scholarships through scholarship search sites. By utilizing these tools, families can help minimize loan debt and make college more affordable.

Jump start your day with a high-energy Hot Mama’s Exercise Class, taught by Teddi Bryant ’88, owner of Hot Mama’s Exercise in Denver, Colorado. No matter your fitness level, you are sure to enjoy this one-of-a-kind fitness class all while getting in a good workout before the day. Community members are welcome. Get your sweat on!

ANNUAL PANCAKE AND SAUSAGE FEED: BENEFITING LADY WARRIOR BASKETBALL 7:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. | United Presbyterian Church $6 in advance, $7 at the door. Children under 10: $0.25 per year. Enjoy the fall colors and crisp Kansas air at this outdoor carnival featuring family-friendly entertainment including inflatable bounce houses, mechanical bull, a petting zoo, music and food.

HOMECOMING CORONATION 1 p.m. (prior to kick-off) | Smisor Stadium Celebrate with the student community as the Student Government Association announces the 2016 Homecoming King and Queen!

WARRIORS FOOTBALL GAME VS. BETHEL COLLEGE 1:30 p.m. | Smisor Stadium Adults: $7. Children and Sterling residents: $3. Cheer on your Warriors as they face the Bethel College Threshers. Sterling College Athletics, Alumni and Bookstore apparel will be available for purchase under the First Bank Family Pavilion, south of the stadium.

REUNION POST-GAME 4 – 6 p.m. | Sterling Lake Pavilion Everyone is welcome to enjoy food and fellowship. Beverages will be provided. Grills will be available for you to bring your own food.

ALUMNI SOFTBALL GAME 4 p.m. | Sterling High School Softball Field ULTIMATE FRISBEE 4:30 p.m. | East Campbell Hall Lawn Enjoy a Sterling College tradition of ultimate Frisbee with fellow Warriors.

Whether ending the day or starting the night, the Homecoming Saturday Supper will offer a great meal in our cafeteria. Several reunions are plugging into existing Homecoming events such as the Alumni Banquet, Reunion Post-Game at Sterling Lake and Saturday Supper in the Student Union, while others are taking place in area homes or at venues in Hutchinson. Legacy Walk The Sterling College Legacy Walk is a unique opportunity to commemorate a graduate, friend or beloved faculty of Sterling College. The Legacy Walk is located between Campbell and Kelsey Halls and features 4x8 bricks engraved with a name or personal message that honors members of the Sterling College family.

Orders placed by September 15 will be engraved by Homecoming Weekend (weather permitting).
