Join Britain’s free fitness club now
The momentum is building. Like jogging and football, the gym is now a free outdoor activity, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round. The Great Outdoor Gym Company designs, supplies and installs outdoor gyms in open spaces across the UK. We provide safe, inclusive and innovative gyms for all the community to use. All equipment complies with the European safety standards EN1176 and EN957. The equipment is resistance based (no electricity required), robust and weatherproof. With physical inactivity levels at an average of 78.7% across England and obesity top of the agenda, now is the time to provide free and accessible gym facilities to your community. There is no need for expensive gym memberships or costly fitness programmes to get in shape. We believe in removing barriers to participation in physical activity. Our gyms engage people of all ages, from the beginner to the seasoned exercise enthusiast. Families, older people, teenagers, people with disabilities and people on low incomes can all participate.

adiZones, London – Mile End Park North; Charlton Park; Langthorne Park; Warwall
Gym member: adidas Project brief: The Great Outdoor Gym Company was commissioned by adidas to help get more young people into sport and physical activity as part of their sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. As a leading brand, adidas required first-class innovation, excellent quality and fast delivery. Project details: We designed, project managed, supplied and installed adiZones in the host Olympic boroughs. The bespoke adiZone design was inspired by sports of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. The facilities include an outdoor gym compliant to European safety standards; basketball, football and tennis areas; a climbing wall and an open area to encourage taekwondo, judo, gymnastics, dance and aerobics. The design includes disability ramps and elements of the Inclusive Fitness Initiative guidelines. High profile launch events were covered by Sky Sports and BBC News. The adiZones were officially opened by The New Zealand All Blacks rugby team, 400 metre gold medallist Christine Ohuruogu and the Great Britain Paralympic basketball team. Project details: Chief Superintendent John Pollock and Superintendent Michelle Martin saw our gyms in a feature article in Regeneration & Renewal magazine. We recommended our Street Gym which was designed with teenagers in mind. The police also worked with Culture and Sport Glasgow to design a programme of activities. The launch event was attended by hundreds of people from the local community and was covered by HTV news, local and trade press. A subsequent report by Strathclyde Police cited the free outdoor gym as one of the measures implemented in their Enhanced Policing Plan – this plan resulted in significant crime reduction in antisocial behaviour, disorder, vandalism and violent crimes.
Chief Superinte nd John Pollock sa ent id:
e ll e h ic M t n e d n e t in Super M ar tin said:
“One of the biggest complaints police hear from young people is that there’s nothing to do. This doesn’t excuse criminal activity but diversionary activities will help to focus their minds elsewhere and burn up some of that excess energy.”
To discuss your outdoor gym requirements, get a quote or book a site survey, call us on 0207 450 4854 or email info@tgogc.com “The concept of the gym was about providing a fantastic modern focal point for teenagers. Antisocial behaviour, disorder and gang violence is not inevitable. Most people simply drift into offending behaviour. The Street Gym can be a catalyst for change, with agency and communication support.”

The launch was covered by local and trade press (online and print), with an image subsequently making it to the Daily Mail.
