STEVE NODWELL DESIGN Steve Nodwell Design brings together multiple skill sets and many years of experience, to provide expertise in the design of brand environments, whether it be a retail interior, live brand experience or pop-up shop. We can create environments that are stylish yet compliant, on brand yet sophisticated and most importantly integrated into your marketing campaigns. The mantra is to always engage and inspire, culminating in effective yet beautiful environments where brands can flourish and express themselves.
WHO IS STEVE NODWELL I have 15 years experience in design practice with a BA Hons degree in Industrial Design. As a result of over a decade working across Product, Retail, Interior Design and Experiential Marketing as a designer, creative and most recently as a Design Director, I have gathered an invaluable range of skills, approaches and knowledge. It’s on these foundations that my individual and team projects are based.

KRUG - KRUG & CHIPS (A TOM SELLERS STORY) EXPERIENCE Bringing the exquisite Champagne brand together with the Michelin star british cuisine of chef Tom Sellers. NESPRESSO - EXPERIENCE STORE A muti sensory concept for an in-line store designed to engage the consumer in the provenance, quality and taste of Nespresso coffee.
EAST VILLAGE - EXPERIENCE PODS The first phase of a year long campaign to bring to life the the idea of the athletes village as a place to live. We created a flexible pod structure in which content and engagement could evolve over time. Here, the first of our pods visted Grand Designs Live with a virtual cycle through the village and a tactile wall. Take a look at this video
EAST VILLAGE - POP-UP EXPERIENCE Taking over a retail space at Westfield Stratford, we created an immersive space where the public could explore London’s newest neighbourhood. Bringing to life a product that the consumer could not touch was challenging but resulted in some creative solutions.

LINDT - THE STORY OF THE EASTER BUNNY A concept for Lindt, the choclatiers. We created a walk through pop-up book story to engage children and stir reminicence in adults. The idea behind the experience was to promote the idea of Lindt owning the easter story.
WESTONS CIDER - SUMMER EVENTS Bringing the Westons Cider portfolio of brands alive at events across the country. Here, Mortimers orchard at Taste of London and a Westons Cider bar for festivals.
BEAM SUNTORY - BOURBON LEGENDS EXPERIENCE Creation of an experience telling the story of the distiller’s bourbon collection ‘from still to glass’. An example of creating a rich brand world in which consumers can be immersed.
PEATED MALTS OF DISTINCTION - ESTABLISHING A BRAND This project began with a simple idea to bring Beam Suntory’s peatier malt whiskeys together. Our role was to create a visual identity both for print and in the retail environment. To acheive a coherent look a materials and textures language needed to be established.
PEATED MALTS OF DISTINCTION - ESTABLISHING A BRAND From this template we created a suite of retail and merchandising elements, bringing the rich world of Scotch and Irish peated malts together under a compelling umbrella.
BEAM SUNTORY - STORIES FROM THE STILL Building on the success of Peated Malts we were given the opportunity to create a series of wider umbrella brands and bring them to life too. The ‘scotch chapter’, inspired by scottish slate and the stills of copper, was one of several chapters each reflecting a style of whisky.

BEAM SUNTORY - STORIES FROM THE STILL Several experiences were created for the US market including this one which tells the stories from the still and featured a ‘library’ circular bar with rooms containing individual worlds and stories pertaining to each of the whisky regions. The ‘Library’ bar
RODIAL CONCESSION - DEBENHAMS The skincare brands first major concession within Debenhams. A quick turnaround project with a short time to conceptualise, design and visualise.
HUAWEI WINTER CONCERT & BALL A two pronged solution with a set design for the Royal Festival Hall and a winter themed ball room. Clever use of print and lighting allowed us to create a sophisticated look for a limited budget.
THE TIMES MEMBERSHIP TOUR A tour of The Times Membership experience, designed to be flexible and modular within an ‘airclad’ structure. Consistent but bold branding and the oppurtunity for the consumer to engage in personalised activities brought this experience to life.

ABOKADO SHOP REDESIGN Working with a partner graphic designer we developed a fresh new look for the food chain Abokado. We took a very disjointed brand and created a simple but striking new retail enviroment which plays heavily on the natural goodness and vitality of Abokado’s food. The brand are about to roll out across London during 2015/16.
JOHN LEWIS - FIND YOUR SUMMER An experiential roadshow showcasing John Lewis’ Electricals and Home Entertainment range. The challenge was to allow consumers to experience the wide range of products in the context of various summer activities and environments.
