aunched by a team of sports marketing professionals who wanted to open up the polo to a wider audience, Chestertons Polo in The Park has become a must on the London summer social calendar. Chestertons Polo in The Park is unique in that it appeals to three individual demographics over the course of one weekend: London’s corporate elite, the young and wealthy set, and the families of South West and West London. Traditional polo has been modified to suit a London audience and field, the rules have been simplified to ensure a more spectator friendly event. By shrinking the field and removing a player, the game is more entertaining for those standing at the bar with a glass of champagne in hand watching in a social capacity.

Chestertons Polo In The Park is far more than polo matches in the sunshine. The long weekend has evolved to become a must-attend lifestyle event. Corporate entertainment is lavish and exclusive with field side views and exquisite meals in private tents with the champagne flowing. In 2015 the corporate entertaining sold out with over 2,000 guests in attendence on Friday alone. London’s most sophisticated crowds attend annually, popping in and out of the pitch side Mahiki to watch the matches and groups of friends picnic in style at the many eateries provided on site. Social demographic of guests attending over the 3 day event is AB1. Teams representing global financial centers including London, Abu Dhabi, Dublin, Hong Kong, Lagos and Davos attract a truly international crowd to a very British setting. Chestertons Polo in The Park is the first and only major polo tourment to be hosted in London since 1939. Chestertons Polo In The Park receives immense attention both in the press and online prior to the event ensuring that attendance records are always topped. In 2015 Polo In The Park received 35.6m social media impressions, with 41,000 followers. Chestertons Polo In The Park has won Best London Sports Attraction twice and 2015 saw 28,000 spectators over three days. ◆
