Key Stage 3 Assessment Students will be assessed using 4 criteria to measure academic performance against expected standards in each subject for that year group:

Excelling in comparison to the expected standard Exceeding the expected standard Working at the expected standard Working towards the expected standard
• The same end of year examination will be set for all students so that teachers are accurately able to assess the progress of all students across the year group. Additional time is allowed for identified students.
Reporting to parents There are three opportunities to meet the teachers: • ‘Settling-In’ evening in late September with the form tutors • PTSC evenings to discuss progress with subject teachers in October and February.
Two reports are issued: • interim report in December • full report in July. There is a Y7 examination week in the summer term • exam results will be issued to parents along with the full report
