   EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.

REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.

GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online.   St George’s are looking to fill this voluntary position of volunteer coordinator. The candidate must be organised, empathetic, personable and a competent communicator. The role involves supporting the ministry leaders and admin team in recruiting volunteers and helping them to connect to the right serving opportunities. If you are interested, please e-mail Dave.

 6.30pm, Tue 15 Oct, Park Dale Hall All are welcome to join Community Church for their harvest supper this week. Food is provided and Paul Clegg will be singing for us. A chance to meet people and celebrate harvest together.

  11am, Wed 16 Oct, Centre  This week we will be having our mid-week Communion and the Wednesday Fellowship - the Speaker at the Fellowship is Michelle Plant. All are welcome.

CREATIVE DAY  Sat 19 Oct, Centre Creative Day is open to all aged 12 and over, and will enable us to explore the creative gifts God gave us through a wide range of activities. Sign-up sheets and flyers are in the foyer. Price (including lunch) £7.50 half day or £10 full day. This is an ideal opportunity to invite your nonChristian friends. Each session has limited space so early signup is advised. A deposit of £5 will be collected before the event.

7.30pm, Mondays, Centre Good singers with a heart for worship are invited to join St George’s Choir. There is no audition. Weekly practices will take place until the event on Sun 15 Dec.

 If you are looking for a fun and exciting way to serve at St George's then the Children's Team could be just the place! We need volunteers for the Explorers groups on Sunday mornings and also some one-off events: the Light Party on 19th Oct (4-6pm) and Holiday Club which is 29th30th Oct (10am-12).   In October 2014 the church is running a pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine. We'll be visiting Nazareth, Galilee, Capernaum, Bethlehem, Qumran and Jerusalem. Bookings need to be made by December. Please contact David Kibble for a brochure or for further details.

7.30pm , Mon 18 Nov, Centre This 'Home for Good' event is to support Christians in adoption and fostering. The church can make a difference to vulnerable children's lives. If you are interested or involved in fostering and adoption and would like to know how the church can provide support, pick up a leaflet at the back of church or contact Ruth Thomas.

10am, Sat 19 Oct, Outwood House, Horsforth We invite you to come and hear an overview of WYSOCS’ past year and plans for the year ahead. The format will be short presentations interspersed with questions, refreshments and chatting. Dr Mark Pike, from the University of Leeds, will join us to give a talk on C.S. Lewis. Lunch is provided; we’re asking for £10 to cover this and refreshments. Please use the online booking form to pay. Students go free.

 Today, Sunday 13 October Network Sunday is a chance to share life and love Leeds within Networks. There will be no18:30 service, with gatherings taking place all over the city.  Space is a network of 15 interdenominational Christian youth groups across the city. Our vision is simple - we want to impact the young people of this city with the Gospel! Currently we have around 60 volunteers but this year we are in need of more in order to facilitate the running of our youth groups across the city. If you can help, please contact Phil Smith.

  Thanks be to God for the Gold Award from Leeds in Bloom awarded to the Crypt Garden. It is a wonderful recognition of the hard work that the guys from Nurture have put into it and congratulations to them.

 Sun 20 Oct, Church Next Sunday our Harvest services will be taking place. All donations will be given to the Crypt. In preparation for the winter months they want to buy 21 new z-beds for people who can’t get a bed elsewhere in the city, so monetary donations are greatly appreciated. If children would like to bring something, bags of sweets are great as every client gets a welcome pack on their z-bed with a few sweets in. Toiletries and men’s underwear would also be welcomed, and there will be a chance to bring your offering to the front during the service.
