EXPLORERS is the Children’s Network for 0-11s. Each week we begin in church before going to our groups in the Church Centre. Children need to be collected at 12.00 noon. ROOTS is our Network for 11-18s. We meet down in the Church Centre at 10.20am each Sunday morning and on Friday night from 7-9pm in the Church Centre. STUDENTS are an integral part of the community here and we run student networks during term time. See the network board in the foyer for details.
REFRESHMENTS are served after services in the Community Room. INDUCTION LOOP St George’s is fitted with an induction loop; please speak to a Steward for assistance. PASTORAL CARE We are seeking to be a community where everyone can be supported and cared for. We encourage you to ask for support, or get someone to ask on your behalf and we will respond as best we can.
GIVING There is an opportunity to give during the service. If you intend to give regularly, please pick up Standing Order and Gift Aid forms in the foyer. PRAYER MINISTRY is offered during and after services at the front of church. If you would like to pray about anything, please ask one of our trained prayer ministers. SERMONS are available online. 7.30, Mon 22 Oct, Centre Tomorrow evening all are welcome at this overseas mission evening, hearing from Helen Robertson and Roz Kendall about their trip to Madagascar and Ruth Gilfillan’s visit to China.
7.30am - 8.30am, Thursdays, Church and all around Leeds Aware of our need to pray and listen to God, we want to invite you to make Thursday mornings a focus for prayer as a church family. Starting this week there will be a chance to gather for prayer here at church, listening to God, interceding for Leeds and praying for the life of the church. Meet in the community room if you can (via Thoresby Place, coffee and pastries available), or if you can’t make it please still join us in prayer wherever you are. If you feel God is sharing something with you, please tweet about it or email us.

3pm, Sunday 28 October, St George’s Church An opportunity to give thanks for those who have died and to pray for God’s continuing comfort for all who mourn. All welcome.
7-9pm, Fri 26 Oct, Church Centre Bring your friends and get ready for fun at this year’s Glo Party! Everyone aged 11 to 18 is invited for an evening of sweets and games, with the chance to show your friends how great Friday nights are. Come dressed as a video game character, there will be prizes for the best costumes!
The donated items and shoeboxes will help to make a Romanian child from Hunedoara very happy this Christmas. Please pick up a leaflet in the foyer which tells you what to put in and who the appeal supports. Empty shoeboxes are also available from the foyer if needed. Why not host a shoebox making social with your small group and invite friends or colleagues to join in. Please bring your boxes back to church from 29 October up until the 11 November deadline. For all those who have been to St George’s Women’s Ministry events over the past year, or who are interested in getting involved, you can now pick up a business card in the foyer. In addition to sending the shoeboxes to Romania this year we would love to be able to respond to a very real need the mission team saw this summer. The children in one of the orphanages we visited in Hunedoara only get one nappy a day. This is in part due to nappies being around four times as expensive as in the UK. If you would like to help please bring your nappy donations in by 11th November. For more info contact:

9-16 October, 2014 Jon Swales and David Kibble invite you to join them on the church's 2014 pilgrimage, 'In the Footsteps of Jesus.' The pilgrimage will enable your reading of the Bible to be done in 3D and in colour. The cost is £1,350. Jon and David have brochures: please ask us for one if you are interested or e mail David.

Sun 4 - Sun 11 Nov The theme of the week is praying for churches and the city as Christmas approaches. Everyone is invited to join in the various prayer events taking place during the week, which include St Georges’ Day of Prayer and Fasting on Tue 6th, with prayer meetings held here at 7.30am, 12 noon and 7.30pm. Explore your creativity with this unique and exciting opportunity to try something new, learning from members of church who can pass on their expertise. Jewellery making, pyrography, embossing, lace making, face painting and more are on offer from the 50+ Network; £7.50 one session with lunch, £10 whole day with lunch.
