LEAVING CERTIFICATE RESULTS 2016. Dear Parents, The Board of Directors, the management of the school and all of the staff wish to convey our sincere congratulations to the Class of 2016 on their remarkable Leaving Certificate results – the best in the school’s history. The class of 2016 have created new academic records for the school. They have exceeded all expectations and I am extremely proud of all the students’ academic outcomes. The teaching staff deserve enormous credit for their dedication to this group.
The class average CAO Points was an outstanding 457 Points per person. 38% attained in excess of 500 points 55% attained over 450 points 75% attained over 400 points 91% attained over 300 points
4 students attained in excess of 600 points There is a myriad of factors, which when combined together have resulted in the success of our students. There are four factors, which above all others, are the primary reasons for the success of our students in St. Gerard’s School. 1. 2. 3. 4.
The hard work, commitment and dedication of our students. The dedication of the teachers, the quality of the teaching in the classroom and our education of excellence. The positive engagement, encouragement and support of the parents. The belief through our Patron Saint, St. Gerard Majella, that all things are possible through a confident faith and a zeal for hard work.
St. Gerard’s School are proud of our mixed ability ethos and we are delighted to celebrate the success of all our students. The holistic development of our students is equally important to their academic progress, so that we can continue to produce young men and women who are educated, thinking and caring individuals. The Class of 2016 will now embark on the next stage of their journey. We wish them well in the knowledge that the spirit of St. Gerard’s School will remain with them forever as they strive to be the best that they can be.
