Junior School
A WORD FROM THE HEADMISTRESS... And so this is Christmas - time to relax, to leave our cares aside for a little while and to spend happy times with our families. It is also a time to be thankful and as we look on the child Jesus in the manger, we give thanks for all the blessings that have been bestowed on us this term - and most especially for each and every girl and boy in our Junior School. We are indeed thankful for the great joy which they bring into our lives. I am also thankful for the superb and caring Junior School staff and for the magical learning environment which they create for the children; and I am thankful for you our wonderful parents for your constant support and encouragement of all that we do. Nollaig shona daoibh go léir and may you all enjoy the peace and joy of the Christ child this Christmas.
Christmas Reflection Is it far to Bethlehem? No it’s not far How will I get there? Take the road that goes through the heart of a child. For Christmas is the time to recover our lost childhood. If we see with the eyes of a child, we see the wonder of the true meaning of Christmas. We see a baby in the manger who has come to make all things new. We see love, goodness, gentleness and kindness. And we know that we each need to bring these gifts to our world which is broken but which can indeed be made new by the true gifts of Christmas….. So let us come to Bethlehem, to this place of new hope and new beginnings. Let us come to the Lord who makes all things new. Let us come, and with Mary beside us, take the Christ child to our heart Dr. Deirdre Farrell – Principal
