Metropolitan Custom Office Program Introduction The Custom Office Program provides the opportunity for Stickley to custom manufacture a workspace to fit your organizational needs. Using a variety of components Stickley will create a custom workspace of almost any size. The information below provides a basic guideline to assist you in creating your custom workstation.
Work Surface Layout
Straight Run
“L” Shaped
Top Depth: 20” vs. 24” • • • •
Metropolitan Office base components are manufactured at a 20” depth. 20” top depth will fit flush, front to back, with the base components. 24” top depth will fit flush with the front of the base component and overhang 4” on the back of the base component. Filler panel is available to close off each end of the workstation when using a 24” top.
Counter Top Length: 35” to 105” • • •
Common top sections can be ordered by the inch from 35” up to 105” per section. The continuous top length must be specified. There are 3 standard top lengths: 35”, 70” and 105”. When ordering custom top lengths, price to the longest standard top length. Example: If a customer orders an 86” top, they must price the 105” version. Location of wire access holes on the work surface area will be decided by the customer at the time of delivery. Two inch access holes will be bored on site by an authorized Stickley service technician or a contractor. Grommets will be supplied and installed after the wire access holes are bored.
Base / Storage Components: • • •
These components act as storage and support mechanisms for your workstation. Individual base components can be grouped together under a common top (see page 16). Available units are influenced by the overall length of the workstation. When base units are ordered to go under the top of a work station, order as a No Top (NT) option. e.g. 7658-NT Each base unit will be supplied with individual bases.
Accessory Units / Supports: •
• • • •
Depending upon the base / storage component selections, additional supports may be required. Accessory units are mounted flush with the front of the counter top, support units are mounted flush with the back of the counter top. All accessory and support units will be installed on site by an Authorized Stickley Service Technician or a Contractor. If there is 35” or more of unsupported top, Stickley suggests a base support be added. A support leg is required at the join between a straight run and corner work surface. A wire management system will be supplied with each Metropolitan office for a clean look.
Upper Bookcases / Storage Components: • • •
Upper components provide additional storage and organization space for your workstation. Available units are influenced by the overall length of the workstation. Upper units will be permanently screwed together at the factory in a length up to 105”. Units can be bolted together for knock down (KD) delivery upon request. Note installation guidelines on the following page.
