Bliss
This club is designed to teach children breath- & bodyawareness, mindfulness and relaxation in a fun and playful way, to improve physical fitness and develop social skills, as well as to cultivate confidence, creativity and compassion. Each session incorporates breathing and physical exercises, imaginative journeys, mindfulness practices as well as relaxation techniques (using stories, visualisation and music). At the end of the session the children enjoy a cup of herbal tea together. Occasionally the children also do yoga-inspired art and craft activities. They learn essential skills to gain a little bit of peace of mind in today’s busy life.
Mini Thespians
It is a lively and fun class to develop selfconfidence, body-control and teamwork. Through stories, the children bring their imagination to life, explore feelings and learn to perform in front of an audience. There is a different theme every three weeks, for example: Goldilocks, Peter Pan and Aladdin. Each session incorporates movement with music, dance routines, singing, role-play and much more. Each story is complimented with a cooking or art/craft project.
Magic Carpet Travel
Every week we travel on our magic carpet to a new destination, exploring its climate, landscape, flora, fauna, people, cultures, foods and traditions. We will learn how to make home-made spaghetti in Italy, play the drums in Africa, eat with chopsticks in China, dance a Viennese waltz, create Australian Aboriginal art, celebrate an Indian wedding, explore volcanoes, jungles, deserts and oceans, excavate mammoths in the Arctic, weave a carpet in Iran and waddle like penguins in Antarctica. This club includes imaginative play, arts & crafts, music, storytelling and cooking activities.
Circus Skills
Combines gymnastics, expressive movement and imaginative role-play, boosting children’s self-confidence, focus, team spirit, core-strength, coordination, balance and flexibility. Children use their vivid imagination to explore different roles and ranges of movement, such as jumping, rolling, dancing, balancing on a tightrope, stilt walking, juggling, pantomiming, and flying in an aerial swing. At the end of the school year parents are invited to see the circus show. Each class ends with home-made popcorn.
Green Kids
Is all about connecting children to nature. We will spend most of the time outdoors in our safe nature playground, engaging each week in different eco projects, such as exploring various animal homes and habitats, learning how to reduce, reuse and recycle, how to solve the plastic problem, how to save the bees and the coral reefs and how to find sustainable solutions to live more in-tune with Mother Earth. This club includes natural exploration, woodwork and eco art & craft activities. The children will be practising creative thinking and teamwork, as well as developing responsibility for themselves, others and the natural world.
Music and Movement
Shake off tiredness and let your spirit run free at Disco Club with Miss Veronika! Exploring different music genres and body movements, using creativity to make a dance sequence, children will be free to follow their ‘instinct’ and refresh their energy.
