Day-to-day responsibilities in this role include coordinating with correspondents and producers for our various cable MSNBC and streaming News Now platforms for live shots; leading news gathering efforts on breaking/developing news and disseminating verified reporting across the news division; and managing the logistics of sending crews and reporters out into the field. She has been nominated for two News and Documentary Emmy Awards for her work at NBC News in the Outstanding Live News Special and Outstanding Live Breaking News Coverage categories, for her role in the coverage of the 2022 midterm elections and the Uvalde, TX elementary school shooting, respectively. She is also very active in the alumni chapter of her collegiate student newspaper, “The Fordham Observer.”

Jessica Easthope is currently a reporter and anchor for Currents News, NET-TV’s nightly award-winning broadcast. After graduating from Hill in 2009, Jessica attended Ursinus College where she majored in Media and Communications and minored in Middle Eastern Studies. There, Jessica served as editor-in-chief of Ursinus’ newspaper, The Grizzly and the president of Ursinus’ Theta Chi chapter of Lambda Pi Eta national media and communications honor society. During college Jessica completed internships as a production assistant at The Colbert Report and CNN International.
Jessica has been working in the number one news market in the nation for more than a decade, delivering breaking news and feature stories to viewers at NY1 and FiOS1 News prior to her arrival at Currents. While at NY1 Jessica worked extensively on Eric Garner’s arrest and death and the city-wide and national aftermath, as well as the murders of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos.

While at Currents News Jessica has earned three Emmy nominations for a series of stories on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, the murder of NYPD officers Jason Rivera and Wilbert Mora and the remains of a WWII veteran being returned to his family 80 years after his death.
Jessica lives in New Jersey with her husband, Jerome and daughter, Violet. Upon graduation from Hill, her 10 best friends started a Facebook message chain they still use daily.

After graduating Hill in 2020, Gabriella attended Hofstra University's Lawrence Herbert School of Communication where she earned a Bachelor of Science in TV and Business with a minor in journalism in August 2023. Her love for media stemmed out of the Hill TV program, where she was one of the first producers and directors among a handful of students. During her three years at Hofstra (thank you Hill for providing college courses which allowed her to graduate early), she worked on many productions within the school and started immediately building her resume and LinkedIn. During her fourth semester of college, she started her internship journey at FOX News, then moved over to FOX Weather, and finally landed her dream year-long internship with GMA3 in June 2023, where she currently works today.

Elisa Raffa is a weather anchor and correspondent at CNN, based in Atlanta and appearing across all of CNN’s networks and platforms.
She has earned the distinction of Certified Broadcast Meteorologist by the American Meteorological Society, a designation which recognizes excellence and expertise in her field. With a passion for communicating climate change, she’s earned national and international recognition for using everything from beer, chocolate, snow shovels, and vultures to help the audience relate to the climate crisis.
While Raffa has spent nearly a decade covering sunny, snowy, and stormy skies across the country, she got her start as an intern with CNN’s domestic and international weather teams. Prior to returning to CNN, Raffa was the meteorologist and climate

Raffa is a Station Scientist Committee Member with the American Meteorologist Society and a Climate Matters Meteorologist for Climate Central. In 2023, she presented peer-reviewed, published research to the AMS Broadcast Conference, highlighting how survey participants understood and cared about the climate crisis when framed as a local story featuring local people. She also writes lessons and tests hands-on activities in weather and climate science for children at local science museums

During her residency, she served as Chief Resident and was selected for induction to Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA), the national medical honor society. She subsequently completed her fellowship in Neuromuscular Neurology and Neuromuscular Pathology at Johns Hopkins At the completion of her medical training, she returned to Temple University Hospital to join the faculty in the Department of Neurology and Neuromuscular Medicine. In addition to her clinical duties, which involve participation in the MDA/ALS multidisciplinary clinic and supervising the residents in the clinic and in the hospital, she serves as the Associate Clerkship Director for the 3rd year medical students at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Rebecca Pietro is a born and raised Staten Islander She attended St. Joseph Hill Academy and graduated in 2009. She went on to study Biology at Quinnipiac University, graduating in 2013. Following her undergraduate degree, she worked as an emergency room scribe at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island. She completed her medical education at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia followed by her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai West/Morningside Hospitals in Manhattan. During residency, she completed the Graduate Medical Education Leadership program and research projects focused on osteoporosis and lupus nephritis. She was then chosen to serve as Chief Resident leading the Women in Medicine Committee and Research Council in 2023. Victoria knew from grammar school that she wanted to pursue a career in Forensic Science She had her sights set on going to Hill for its rigorous education, credits for college level courses, and it offered Forensic Science as an elective. After graduating Hill in 2013, Victoria went on to John Jay College of Criminal Justice in Manhattan. She graduated in 2017 as a member of the Honors Program with a Bachelor’s of Science in Forensic Science with a concentration in Toxicology and a Minor in Biology
Victoria then attended The University of New Haven in Connecticut for her Master’s in Forensic Science. Her Master’s thesis focused on exploring both the detection of controlled substances and fingerprint processing.
After graduation in 2019, Victoria worked for a short time as a paralegal in an insurance company. She then was hired as a Criminalist in the Controlled Substance Analysis Section (CSAS) of the New York City’s Police Department Police Laboratory in Jamaica, Queens. Victoria performed casework for the section and later on was assigned to the Quality Control Section within CSAS. In addition, she worked on a research project, participated in different committees, and provided a section-wide training.

In February of 2023, Victoria was hired as a Chemist on the Forensics team for US Customs and Border Protection as part of the US Department of Homeland Security in Newark, NJ. She currently works on Controlled Substance and Latent Print Processing cases. She assists in supporting the JFK Airport Laboratory and will be going to San Ysidro, California to provide support to their laboratory this May.

Mackenzie DeRosa attended St. Joseph Hill Academy from 20102014 During those four years, Mackenzie played basketball, soccer, and track. She was a member of Student Council and participated in numerous clubs such as Special Olympics and Kairos. After graduation, Mackenzie attended Marywood University for one year before transferring to the University of Scranton and majored in Criminal Justice. In 2016, she took a semester off and joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Mackenzie graduated bootcamp in 2017 as the honor grad and was awarded the Physical Fitness Award.
Mackenzie returned to Scranton and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor’s Degree. In 2019, she became a New York State Trooper. Since joining the State Police she has worked the road in Orange County and Staten Island. She was also a Training Instructor at the Academy in Albany. Mackenzie ended her military career this year as a Sergeant Currently, she is a Defensive Tactics Instructor at the New York State Police Academy in Cazenovia, NY. Mackenzie will be moving back to Staten Island to work the road again in May 2024.

Josette is currently Associate Attorney with the New York State Department of State where she litigates public complaints and investigations against Department of State licensees. After graduating Hill in 2009, Josette attended State University of New York at Albany (SUNY Albany) where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in dual majors of psychology and philosophy At SUNY Albany, Josette was a member of Alpha Phi Omega, a community service fraternity, and the University Dance Council. After graduating from SUNY Albany in 2013 cum laude, Josette attended Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University where she focused her studies on environmental law.
During her time in law school, Josette interned with State and local governments including with the New York State Office of the Attorney General. After graduating from law school in 2016, Josette was selected by her law school for the New York State Excelsior Fellowship program where she started her career with the New York State Department of State in Albany. As a New York State Excelsior Fellow, Josette worked on waterfront revitalization programs and consumer protection issues. Josette continues to enjoy life as a public servant; working in government allows for a positive work-life balance where she can continue to enjoy Latin dancing around New York City.

Tricia graduated from St. Joseph Hill Academy in 1991 and loved her time as a Hilltopper. At Hill, she played on the Varsity Basketball team all four years and was involved in Student Council and later a member of the National Honor Society.
Tricia went on to attend the University of Scranton, PA and graduated cum laude in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with minors in Philosophy and Criminal Justice.
Following undergrad, Tricia attended Brooklyn Law School, graduating in 1998.
At the beginning of her legal experience, Tricia worked for a private firm, Seeger Weiss, LLP, in mass tort litigation and arbitrations. She began her career as an attorney in the government at the Corporation Counsel’s Office, New York City Law Department in 2001
For over 20 years, Tricia has been representing a variety of City agencies in litigation defense.

Chief of Staff for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Support Team to US Department of State and US Agency for International Development (USAID)
Gilda Tirro currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the NGA Support Team at State Department and USAID. In this role, Gilda ensures that policymakers and senior leaders are provided timely geospatial data to make informed and crucial decisions. Gilda navigates complex challenges and manages cross-agency projects which makes an impact on NGA’s strategic and analytic mission.
Gilda joined the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency in 2013 serving as an Aeronautical Analyst where she evaluted and produced aeronautical products to support the safety of navigation mission. Following this assignment, she went on to become an Executive Officer for an NGA Support Team at a partner organization where she worked as a central component between the two organizations. She then worked as the Canada International Officer where she represented her agency to maintain the geospatial relationship between her agency and their Canadian partners.
Gilda attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics and double minored in Air Traffic Control and Homeland Security. . Colone is a Senior Vice President and Chief Compliance ficer with Nordea Bank, the largest full-service bank in the rdics. In this role, she oversees the corporate compliance ogram for the Bank’s New York Branch as well as compliance tivities for the Bank’s global swap dealer business. Prior to joining Nordea, she spent several years with two other international banks in a variety of compliance advisory roles. Key responsibilities included developing policies and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements, managing regulatory examinations, and advising senior business leaders on compliance risks within each bank’s wealth management and wholesale banking divisions
Ms. Colone began her career as an auditor with the National Futures Association, a newly formed self-regulatory organization for the derivatives industry. Throughout her twenty-year tenure with the organization, she held various supervisory roles managing, coaching, and training a team of more than thirty staff in the completion of audits and investigations of financial services firms.

ill joined Iron Mountain as Senior Vice President and Head of vestor Relations in January of 2022. She is responsible for evising, executing and leading Iron Mountain’s investor relations rategy. She leads engagement with the investment community nd financial media, shaping our investment story and communicating the value of Iron Mountain
Prior to joining Iron Mountain, Gill served as Managing Director, Portfolio Manager for Real Estate Securities Group at Neuberger Berman. As an experienced portfolio manager with an excellent track record, she brings a unique set of experiences and capabilities to Iron Mountain While at Neuberger Berman for the last 8 years, she was responsible for asset allocation, investment decisions, as well as portfolio construction across Europe. She was also responsible for marketing and promotion for all REIT strategies, as well as the ESG lead.
Earlier in her career, Gill worked for M&G Investment Management, Merrill Lynch and Deustche Bank. She is a graduate of Princeton University.
Gill and her daughter live in London and in her personal time she enjoys traveling, reading, tennis and horseback riding.

Valerie Toscano is a process efficiency and project management expert with over 25 years of experience in Financial Services. She’s led multi-million dollar programs across all areas of Banking and Wealth Management at leading financial services firms. As an independent consultant, Valerie has worked with entrepreneurs and small to mid-sized businesses in Technology, Healthcare, Fashion and Media. Valerie brings problem solving skills, thought partnership, empathy and energy to every project, leading highperforming teams to deliver successfully, on time and on budget.
Valerie holds a BS in Finance and International Business from NYU and an MBA in Management and International Business from Fordham University. This summer she will begin a master’s program in Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University. She is a member of the Board of Trustees for a NYC based Private School and leads that Board’s Long Range Planning efforts. When she’s not working, Valerie enjoys fitness, tennis, cooking and traveling with her husband and their teenage son

After graduating from St. Joseph Hill Academy, Patty double majored in Economics and Finance at Wagner College. Following a one-year internship, Patty started her career at JPMorgan Chase in 2006. She has worked in the Investment Bank as well as the Private Bank, eventually joining Global Financial Crimes Compliance in 2013
Patty is currently responsible for overseeing several Anti-Money Laundering Investigations teams. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist.
Patty resides in Wilmington, Delaware with her husband, two children, and two cats!
