Welcome to the St Joseph College vs Lashings World XI. On behalf of the College, I want to thank you for your support of both the event and the students who will be competing against some of the biggest names in cricket.
With a combined 436 test caps between them, this year's Lashings team again features some of most renowned players to have ever played the game, including former internationals Chris Schofield, Kirk Edwards, Mohammad Ashraful, Adam Hollioake, Yasir Arafat, Nicky Boje, John Emburey, Stephen Parry, Hugo Hammond and David Smith as well as legends Courtney Walsh and Sir Gordon Greenidge. With 220 guests attending the convivial lunch featuring eminent guest speaker and former England Test cricketer Geoff Miller, and many more students, parents and community supporters planning to stream in through the College gates for the 4pm match event, the day promises to be a highly enjoyable, entertaining and spectacular experience for all.

Courtney Walsh
The legendary former Jamaican cricketer represented the West Indies from 1984 to 2001, captaining his country in 22 tests and taking 519 wickets. Courtney was the first bowler to reach 500 test wickets and named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1987 and inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
Chris Schofield
John Emburey
'Embers', born in Peckh p y in 64 tests and 61 ODIs. He was part of the England squad in the 1987 World Cup and took 1,608 firstclass wickets during his illustrious career
Schoey, Junior. The leg-spinning all-rounder dons the captain's band again. Chris has represented his country in both tests and T20 internationals, taking 237 wickets first-class wickets along the way.

The former Pakistan international made his Test debut in 2007 v India and accumulated over 7,000 first-class runs and 700 first-class wickets for 14 domestic teams

Mohammad Ashraful
Ash' captained his country in 13 tests and 38 ODIs between 2007 and 2009 and scored the fastest fifty in Test and ODI for any Bangladeshi cricketer.
Nicky Boje
Adam Holliaoke
A very talented all-rounder and 2003 Wisden cricketer of the year who represented Surrey and England, captaining the former and leading them to 3 county championships from 1997 to 2003.
The former South-African international represented his country in 43 tests and 115 ODIs. Nicky was a member of the South African team that won the 1998 ICC Knock-Out Trophy.
David Smith
Stephen Parry
Stephen made his senior debut for Lancashire in 2007 and was named their Young Player of the Year in 09'. Bowling slow left-arm orthodox, Stephen made his ODI debut against the West Indies in 2014 and played his first t20 against them later that month.
David was a dominating opening bat, renowned for his skill and bravery against fast bowling. David scored 124 in a remarkable match with Warwickshire in the 1993 NatWest Trophy final. In a career of 319 first-class matches, David scored 15,265 runs with 28 centuries and 76 half-centuries.
Sir Cuthbert Gordon Greenidge
The Lashings Team Ambassador who represented the West Indies in Test and One-day Cricket for 17 years. He is regarded as one of the greatest and most destructive opening batsmen in cricket history and inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2009.
Hugo Hammond
The ex-Love Island star earned a cap for the England Physical Disability cricket team, playing around the world in likes of Bangladesh and Dubai. Hugo now plays for Lashings XI and is hoping to represent England PD once again.
