Christopher Brown was born in London in 1953. He attended the Royal College of Art where he was introduced to, and eventually assisted, Edward Bawden, the master of the linocut. It was Bawden who encouraged him to explore this medium. Since then Christopher has exhibited at the Michael Parkin Gallery, The Royal Academy, The Fry Gallery, The Fine Art Society, and the Victoria & Albert Museum. “English Vernacular” represents my continuing interest in this country’s architecture, places, objects, people and animals. The intent is serious but often I can’t resist introducing an element of humour. Christopher Brown, April 2011. Saturday 7th May to Saturday 28th May 2011. Open Thursday-Saturday from 10am-4pm. St. Jude’s Gallery, Wolterton Road, Itteringham, Norfolk NR11 7AF Tel. 01263 587666 www.stjudesgallery.co.uk
