4 / NICOLE COOK
hi, i am nicole. I have been in the creative field for all of my career and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I bring a creative, yet analytical approach to my work that makes me an excellent balance of visual acumen and project management. I strive to improve process and shape efficiencies to shepherd projects to the finish line on time and above standard. On the following pages, I’d like to walk you through what makes me...me!
ABOUT ME / 5
design is inspiration made visible.

style FORM AND FUNCTION I am a contributor: I add value. I know when to speak up and share ideas. I don’t give up easily when things get tough. I care about the details. I nerd out on paper books and the Pantone color library. I stay up-todate with industry trends. I find things that inspire me and share them with my team. I like calendars, spreadsheets and a clean desktop. I am driven, focused and can work very quickly. My energy is contagious. I am flexible: Sometimes unexpected projects come up and what I may have planned to work on Monday may look different by Wednesday. Ok, maybe it even looks different by the end of the day Monday, but I can roll with it.
I am a producer: I am eager to help team members, keep schedules moving and make the collective work strong. I am a communicator: I have the ability to articulate my thinking in person, digitally and on paper. I am diverse: I am able to work in a lot of channels; doing everything from driving brand awareness to creating visual content for digital campaigns to studying print proofs for accuracy. Being this well rounded helps me stand out. I am bold: I am confident but not letting ego get in the way of great collaboration with others.
ABOUT ME / 7
strategic. discipline. command. achiever. analytical.

think PUT YOUR MIND TO IT I am strategic: I am able to sort through the clutter and find the best route. It is not a skill that can be taught. It is a distinct way of thinking; a special perspective on the world at large. This perspective allows me to see patterns where others simply see complexity. Mindful of these patterns, I can play out alternative scenarios, always asking, “What if this happened? Okay, well what if this happened?” This recurring question helps me see around the next corner. I have discipline: My world thrives when it is ordered and planned. I set up routines. I focus on timelines and deadlines. I break long-term projects into a series of specific short-term plans and I work through each plan diligently.
I am an achiever: I have drive. I have an internal fire burning inside me. It pushes me to do more; to achieve more. It brings the energy I need to work long hours without burning out. It is the jolt I can always count on to get started on new tasks and new challenges. It is the power supply that causes me to set the pace and define the levels of productivity for my work group. I am analytical: I see myself as objective and dispassionate. I like data and facts. I peel the layers back until, gradually, the root cause or causes are revealed. Others see me as logical and rigorous.
I have command: I have a natural ability to lead. I am not frightened by confrontation; rather, I know that confrontation is the first step toward resolution. I need things to be clear between people and challenge them to be fair and honest. I push them to take calculated risks.
