NEED FOR SPEED Cadillac V-Series: The World’s Fastest Family of Production Cars

Always sophisticated and with a passion for speed, Cadillac’s V-Series is the ideal fusion of performance and jaw-dropping style. This record-breaking V-Series family—CTS V-Coupe, CTS-V Sedan, and the CTS-V Wagon—dominates Germany’s legendary Nurburgring racetrack. Be among the first to check-out the latest additions to the Cadillac line-up at this year’s Taste of St. Louis. Virtually, every component of the V-Series line is track-tested, tuned, and perfected to world-class standards—it’s what sets apart the V-series from the rest. The Cadillac CTS-V Coupe was developed in a very aggressive timeline of less than eight months. The resulting product is a road-racing athlete. Under the hood a 6.2L V-8 delivers 556 horsepower and 551 lb.-ft torque. Add to that, advanced technology, such as a rearview camera system and a performance-oriented suspension system, coupled to rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, and you truly have a vehicle that is derivative of nothing. While the CTS V-Coupe is the newest addition to the V-Series family, the CTS-V Sedan has already been making a name for itself on the racing circuit and is among the most highly acclaimed luxury automobiles in the industry. It is the world’s fastest production sedan with 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. Sporting industry leading, handling, and performance features such as Brembo brakes, Magnetic Ride Control, Recaro Performance Seating—the CTS-V is truly a force to be reckoned with. Leave it to Cadillac to dare to design a wagon with this level of performance and design. The CTS-V Wagon not only boasts raucous powertrain and chiseled good looks, it’s also evidence that Cadillac is willing and able to play to the desires of the keenest automotive enthusiasts in America. It features a supercharged 6.2L V8 delivering 556 horsepower with 551 lb.-ft torque while still offering 58 cubic feet of storage space, about twice the cargo room of a luxury sedan in the same class. The chic vehicle is the latest example of Cadillac setting a new standard by proving you can have bold styling and an exceptional driving experience along with the functional space of a wagon. Since 1902, Cadillac has been a leading luxury auto brand by combining visually pleasing engineering with innovative technology. Cadillac truly is “the new standard of the world.” Be sure to check out the latest models at Taste of St. Louis. 8 Septemb er 201 1 |

Peabody opera House OUTDOOR MAIN stage AND SNEAK PREVIEW WEEKEND Enjoy free national and local music acts all weekend long on the Peabody Opera House Outdoor Main Stage – plus a very special “open house” glimpse inside the newly restored Peabody Opera House!

On May 4, 1991, a performance by the St. Louis Philharmonic marked the final event held in the Opera House to date. After numerous attempts to reopen the building by various parties over nearly two decades, financing was completed in June 2010 to pave the way to renovate and reopen the Opera House. Today, the completely renovated and newly named Peabody Opera House stands proud and will reopen in the fall of 2011.

Green egs are tasty! The Taste of St. Louis launched EGS™ (Event Greening Systems) in 2010; a robust approach to reduce the carbon footprint of the event. As a result, last year’s efforts diminished the amount of waste sent to landfills by over 50%. This ground breaking, comprehensive approach has since garnered great attention and accolades by the City of St. Louis and beyond. One of the most effective EGS initiatives was to make all food and beverage service at the Taste 100% compostable. This was accomplished by eliminating bottles, serving beverages in plant-based cups and requiring the restaurants to utilize all compostable serviceware.

But going compostable was just the first step. EGS has successfully addressed five key areas all events must consider in order to reduce their impact: • Marketing • Transportation • Power Generation • Operations • Consumer Interaction With close attention to these categories, the Taste has set the bar when it comes to event greening. To learn more about this game-changing program, please visit TasteSTL.com/EGS
