ST. LUKE’S MISSION: AN EXCEPTIONAL EDUCATION THAT INSPIRES A DEEP LOVE OF LEARNING, A STRONG MORAL COMPASS, THE COMMITMENT TO SERVE, AND THE CONFIDENCE TO LEAD.

A MESSAGE FROM ST. LUKE’S BOARD CHAIR Dear St. Luke’s Community, Thank you for joining me and Head of School Mark Davis for St. Luke’s 19th Annual State of the School. Tonight will be the first live broadcast of this event and we’re gratified to have the extended St. Luke’s community attend—families, faculty and staff, trustees—past and present, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents and maybe a few aunts and uncles as well. This is my ninth year as a St. Luke’s parent and my fourth and final as St. Luke’s Board Chair. Every year since becoming chair, I have looked forward to this night and the chance to celebrate our collective achievements and shared commitment to St. Luke’s mission. But this year is different... Our gratitude for this special school, and the teachers who are its beating heart, has deepened to a level not possible before this pandemic. As the coronavirus tests the world’s resilience, St. Luke’s continues to go above and beyond, delivering an exceptional education and standing strong for families. This is the St. Luke’s Difference, a long-appreciated ethos that has become more tangible and increasingly critical in these uncertain times. This evening, we’ll explore that difference and the opportunities emerging from the Strategic Planning Team. It will be a compelling look at what our children need now to thrive in the future. Or said another way—it is our strategy to ensure a St. Luke’s education remains exceptional. Mark and I send you all heartfelt thanks for being here with us on this important night. Warm regards, James Andersen Board Chair
