We are truly different from all other international schools, as we set our education standards high operating under the professional support and accreditation of the Western Australian Government. St. Mark's is the first international school in Thailand to be in partnership with the Australian government, becoming a part of a growing network of international schools which provide the Australian Matriculation Program across the Asia-Pacific region, including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, Republic of China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka. St. Mark's is one of only a few international schools in Thailand to operate at the ministerial level, where the Western Australian Government regulates our performance against annual compliance reviews so that parents can be sure of the education standards we provide.
T ruly T ri-lingual P ro g r a m Our tri-lingual curriculum ensures that students will be equipped with the language skills in English, Mandarin, and Thai, which are the essential languages of our world today. Our students have the option to also choose Japanese as an additional language to expand their language competency, as well as opportunity.
Our program enables students to use the languages skillfully, either in their daily conversations, reading or writing.

P r i m ar y C u r r i c u l u m The aim of our Primary Program is to intellectually stimulate and personally support each student in developing a life-long love of learning. The broad and balanced curriculum has depth and breadth which reflects the complexities of today’s world. Within the curriculum structure, there is flexibility to focus on each individual. Our students are given the opportunity to learn 3 languages and that language learning is fostered through a broad and challenging core curriculum where students are given the chance to strive for their personal best. Our language curricula in English, Mandarin and Thai are well-regarded for their breadth, as well as depth, and are aimed at developing competent speaking, reading and writing skills in our primary students. The primary curriculum builds a solid foundation in Mathematics and the Sciences in our students. Adopting Singapore's Mathematics and Science curriculum, we recognise the importance of a solid understanding of numeracy and the sciences, and our curriculum facilitates each student's acquisition of these fundamental skills. Our students' learning is enhanced by stimulating hands-on mathematics manipulatives, games and laboratory experiments, through our well-balanced curriculum.

The secondary program provides an exciting, innovative, and vibrant learning environment and opportunities. The most profound learning occurs when there is a healthy relationship between teacher and student. We focus our attention on relationships between all members of the Secondary School community and value those relationships in achieving quality outcomes for students. The curriculum aims to engage students and foster their interest in major key learning areas. Adopting the Cambridge IGCSE Program in Year 7 - 10 and the Australian Matriculation Program in Year 11 - 12, our students are equipped with a solid foundation, which will successfully prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century.
IGCSE PROGRAM (Year 8– 10)
The IGCSE offers a flexible course of study that gives candidates the freedom to choose subjects that are right for them, whilst providing them with a broad knowledge base and life-long skills. It develops learner knowledge, understanding, and skills in the subject content, knowledge application, intellectual enquiry, flexibility and responsiveness to change, influencing outcomes and cultural awareness. At St. Mark's all students study compulsory subjects in English and Mathematics, plus a number of popular elective subjects. Students normally take in total of between 5 to 7 subjects during the course of study.
ATAR PROGRAM (Year 11 - 12) In partnership with the Western Australian Government, our Australian Matriculation Program (Australian High School Curriculum) is designed to make a difference in students’ lives. We do this by providing students access to a high-quality, relevant, and internationally recognised curriculum. Students will receive both the Australian Matriculation Certificate of Education, as well as the ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) upon completing Year 12. This program is of one and a half years in duration, and our graduating students will benefit from commencing universities one year earlier than their peers in other schools.
Ata r p ro g r a m Upon completion of Year 11 & 12, our graduates are awarded an internationally recognised pre-university diploma, the Australian Matriculation Certificate of Education. Concurrently, students also will receive the ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank), which will enable them to gain direct admission to all Australian universities, as well as to all leading universities worldwide. These certificates provide direct pathways to all Australian universities, as well as admissions to universities worldwide, which includes the competitive higher institutions in the United Kingdom, the EU, United States, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, China, and India.

W h e re C a n Ata r T ake M e St. Mark's is the first school in Thailand to partner with the Western Australian Government to offer its graduates a more efficient pathway to the world's universities. St Mark's 16-month matriculation program provides students with the Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE) and the Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR). The WACE & ATAR puts St. Mark's graduates on the pathway to success. That's because the ATAR is the educational standard accepted by all Australian universities. No other test or course is necessary once a student has their ATAR. And of course, the WACE & ATAR are recognised and accepted by all prestigious universities all around the world.

C ampus and F acilities Our exterior facilities are equipped with a sports gymnasium, an artificial turf soccer field, a basketball court, a salt-water swimming pool, and large garden with ponds, a vegetable garden and a playground, which provide an excellent ground for effective teaching and learning for a variety of cognitive and physical activities. For our interior, besides our bright and airy library, the school has a variety of other special facilities for extra-curricular subjects such as piano, Thai music and dance, common room for playing games during leisure time, computer room, science and art room. The 2 science laboratories have assisted our students in learning through practical work discovery, which allows them to understand their lessons through hands-on experiences. These facilities enhance our students' experience and understanding of their daily learning.
A chievements St. Mark's enjoys the support of the international and local community. Our dedicated teachers and staff endeavour to encourage all students to strive for their personal best in all which they do. This determination resulted in St. Mark's being among only a handful of institutions to receive the award of "Excellence in Education" by the Office of the Private Education Commission (OPEC) twice in a row. C ambridge IGCSE O utcome St. Mark’s Australian International School has been preparing students for the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) since the inception of our secondary program back in August 2015. With fully qualified teachers who are experts in their fields, our students have excelled in all of their subject areas and this is reflected in the exceptional results achieved by them. Our teachers have worked relentlessly with your children to engage with the community of young learners who are prepared to face global challenges with a special focus on Mathematics, Science, and Mandarin.
