Andy Morwood the Students’ Union CEO welcomed members and gave a brief outline on the purpose of council. Minutes were presented by the interim chair, these minutes were approved.

2/ Election of Chair Two candidates stood for the role of chair, Hollie Spencer & Ash Valappil. Ashika won, with Hollie taking on the role of deputy chair.

3/ Approving trustee board: The Students’ Union officers presented Samuel Massiah for approval as a trustee of the Students’ Union, this was confirmed

4/ Ratifications: JC presented new clubs and societies to be ratified and deratified. Cineclub: Approved

5/ Upcoming events and updates: TR gave an update on events, RAG Week, TW1 Session, Christmas Community Festival. “Bloody loved Freshers Festival”.

6/ Executive Committee Activity Report: Conal Baxter’s written report was submitted to council. Tim Roger: TR’s report was largely complete but he confirmed that very low numbers of complaints have been received from the local community Jess Carey: Accreditation scheme implemented with new clubs and socs Cash Metzger: Welfare officer gave update around Simmies angels Anais Hemetsberger: Attended Board of Governors and working on childcare campaign Savannah Seaton: Not as active as hoped but key policies for the year are to encourage more students who live at home to be able to join societies Raegan Booth: Creating RAG Committee, getting as many people as possible to join up. 7/ AOB Tim Rogers asked if any student was interested in being a DJ that they should contact him.
