From Your CEO... by: Doug Wilhoit
I am sure that each and every one of you had a wonderful, happy Thanksgiving with family and friends! We have so much to be thankful for even in the most difficult of times. It is also my hope that each of you will have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season that is filled with joy, happiness and reflection on what the season means to all of us. Hopefully we can continue it throughout the whole year in how we look at life and treat our fellow citizens. It is well known that we are in difficult economic times and neither Washington nor Sacramento have done much to help ease the burden, but it is the hope of all of us here at the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce that as you “shop until you drop” you will do so here in Stockton and San Joaquin County. It is our local businesses that make up the fast majority of income to our community and we have a neighborly obligation to help support them. In doing so WE can help lessen the trauma caused by those in Washington and Sacramento. I cannot think of anything of importance that you cannot find here that is any better than something found outside the boundaries of San Joaquin County or on the Internet.
