to have this sacred opportunity, but their system of repressive government does not allow them to determine their own destiny as we are so blessed to do! Here is something I have had in my office(s) since 1979, when I first became a San Joaquin County Supervisor (representing District 2) and truly all the citizens of this abundant county: In 1645, ONE VOTE gave Oliver Cromwell control of England; In 1649, ONE VOTE caused Charles I of England to be executed; In 1776, ONE VOTE gave America the English language instead of German; In 1845, ONE VOTE brought Texas into the Union; In 1868, ONE VOTE saved President Andrew Johnson from impeachment; In 1876, ONE VOTE gave Rutherford B. Hayes the Presidency of the United States; In 1876, ONE VOTE changed France from a Monarchy to a Republic; In 1921, ONE VOTE gave Adolph Hitler leadership of the Nazi Party and in 1960, a ONE VOTE change in each precinct in Illinois would have defeated John F. Kennedy. Please note, while recently in Washington D.C. where the accompanying photo of President Lincoln was taken at the National Cathedral, I experienced the Holocaust Museum and saw the result of not only German complacency but also worldwide complacency tantamount to not voting or not making a fullyinformed vote.

“We started banking with one of Oak Valley’s Modesto branches almost 15 years ago. As our business has moved and grown, we’ve had the opportunity to use several of their branches and it’s always consistent. Convenient locations, managed by friendly, service-oriented people who are supportive of our business – that’s our Oak Valley experience. – Tom and Robin Bair, Golden State Freight www.stocktonchamber.org
