THE ART OF ADVERTISING Learn about the power of advertising. In this session you’ll learn how images and text are used together to create posters, adverts and game covers to help sell products. You will also create your own brand identity.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION
Do you love clothes and fashion? Then maybe a career in the fashion industry is for you. Delve into the amazing work of fashion designers. PRODUCTION ARTS

AVIATION & TRAVEL INTRODUCTION TO THE AVIATION INDUSTRY

INTRODUCTION TO THE TRAVEL & TOURISM INDUSTRY
This session will give you an insight into the world of Travel & Tourism and the career paths within it. You could be helping someone find their dream holiday, travelling the world as cabin crew, helping people party in sunny locations as a holiday rep, or progressing through the ranks as a top manager. CONSTRUCTION & ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION & MOTOR VEHICLE EXPLORE THE INDUSTRY
Offering an introduction to the construction and motor vehicle industries. You’ll take a tour of our purpose built CED centre, have a go at different workshops and work with some of the tools of the trades. You’ll learn about the importance of health and safety, chat to current students and find out about future career and salary opportunities. ENGINEERING EXPERIENTIAL ACTIVITY SESSION
This hands-on session will offer you the chance to learn about the engineering world and its technology and then see it in action. You’ll be introduced to Pro desktop drawing and design, looking at the design of a stainless steel clock. With a strong focus on health and safety you’ll have a go at some of the machinery (under close supervision) and go on to make your own stainless steel clock to take home. Please wear overalls and sturdy shoes (no trainers).

HAIR & BEAUTY MAKE UP/CONTOURING TUTORIAL Want to know how to narrow your nose, highlight your cheekbones or plump up those lips? This taster will show you how to enhance your features when applying make-up, learning some of the tricks of the trade and creating some of those catwalk looks.

HAIR UP & PLAITING
From fishtails and waterfalls to dutch braids and milkmaids, there are loads of different braid styles out there—and the options are growing by the day! Worn by celebrities such as Blake Lively and Uma Thurman, a plait is an easy-toachieve look that anyone can perfect. The style has gotten so popular, there are even braid bars (at the John Barrett Salon in New York City and Nine Zero One Salon in Hollywood) for when you want to sport something extraordinary! BAKE OFF
Working in an industrial kitchen is a little different to baking at home. Come and experience the realistic working environment in our catering kitchens and try your hand at shortbread or scones.
