NETA Training Group are the proud owners of a Nordtank NTK 600 Nearshore Wind Turbine Nacelle, which when operational, had the capacity to deliver 600,000 kW of electricity. This is housed in our state-of-the-art training facility located at Lustrum Industrial Park. The Nacelle is complete with all internal mechanisms, including drive shaft, gearbox, generator, yaw system, mechanical brake and anemometer. This will allow NETA Training Group to provide training and qualifications in
many aspects of wind turbine maintenance, and specifically, Global Wind Organisation (GWO) accredited Basic Technical Training courses. These have been developed to give candidates a better understanding and basic skill level on electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems within a wind turbine.

Our mechanical facility has been developed and built with the future in mind, and our training centre will allow personnel to become competent in a range of mechanical engineering disciplines which are essential for today’s industries. These industries include oil & gas, renewables, offshore wind and process plant operations. We have a state-of-the-art Mechanical Joint Integrity (MJI) facility where we train delegates in the safe use of torque tightening and tensioning of mechanical joint connectors using both hydraulic and manual tooling. This can be carried out at our Lustrum Industrial Park facility
or on site at the client’s workplace using our portable MJI Rig which was built and supplied by Hydratight. Alongside our MJI provision, NETA Training Group also delivers bespoke training in hydraulics and pneumatics and all of our courses are carried out by time–served instructors with up-to-date industry knowledge so you can be assured that what we deliver is first class. We are an ECITB accredited centre and we work closely with the awarding organisation and industries to ensure our provision delivers specifically what the industry demands.

NETA Training Group opened our purpose-built Scaffolding Training Centre in 1996, and since then we have been a leading provider in the North East for the Construction Industry Scaffolders Scheme (CISRS) and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB). As well as our accredited courses, many of NETA’s scaffolding courses can be tailored to suit the needs of the customer and can be delivered all over the world and on offshore platforms where suitable facilities are available.

NETA Training Group works very closely with construction and engineering organisations in the development of competencies for employees engaged in rigging, lifting and slinging activities. The inherent nature of these activities carry a high degree of risk should the loads not be managed correctly, therefore safety is at the forefront of these activities which is reflected through our courses. Our aim is to enhance the skills for personnel who perform rigging, lifting and slinging activities using lifting equipment and lifting accessories to the recognised industry standards, including the current rigging/moving loads regulations and legislation. The Drilling Well Completion courses that NETA Training Group offers are a critical aspect of ensuring personnel who work on both offshore and onshore drilling and exploration rigs gain a solid background and knowledge of why well control is essential, how well control is maintained, what the indicators are that well control might be lost and how to regain control once it has been lost.
The IWCF course covers all areas of drilling and well control and builds the knowledge of critical aspects and equipment specific to the role, such as Risk Management, Kick Warning Signs and Kick Indicators, Circulating System, Shut-in Procedures, Well Control Methods, Choke Line, Blow Out Preventer (BOPs), Manifolds, Mud Gas Separators and Subsea Control Systems.
