Institute of folklore Marko Cepenkov
The Marko Cepenkov Institute of Folklore in Skopje was established by the Government of the Republic of Macedonia in 1950. In June 1979, the Institute was named after the most talented and prolific collector of Macedonian folklore treasures, Marko Cepenkov.The Institute has achieved its scientific and research activities through the following departments:Department of Folkloristics and Ethnoteatrology, Department of Ethnology, Department of Traditional Arts and Architecture, Department of Ethnomusicology and Ethnochoreology.
