Perfection in Detail Modular design ● Bevel gear and bearing can be removed as a single unit, idler gears can be removed through large openings. NOVACAT – "Floating cut”
Unrivalled adaptability ... The objective: The NOVACAT centre pivot suspension supports the cutter bar evenly. The side traction is reduced compared with conventional side mounting systems. Drag resistance and forward traction are reduced considerably. This is especially important when mowing and conditioning.

Centre pivot suspension Always ensures that the whole cutter bar is supported evenly. Benefits: ● Better response on uneven ground for fast and tidy mowing ● Evenly spread load from inside to outside ● The outer skid of the cutter bar comes into contact with the ground before the inside one, for optimum protection of the stubble.

The higher the energy content of the forage the greater the milk output, in turn resulting in a reduction in the cost of concentrates. "Extra dry” – a joint development with the Institute of Agricultural
The trend is conditioning ... Extra dry conditioners carefully rub the layer of wax covering the crop. The forage is then deposited across the full width in an airy blanket. The power of the sun has immediate and full effect. Advantages of the "extra dry” technology: ● Shorter drying period in the field, less risk from the weather. ● Increasing energy content by up to 10% saves on concentrates. ● Better silage quality due to rapid reduction in PH-value ● No tedding (or less tedding) required, which saves time and simplifies the process. ● Careful conditioning process reduces loss due to disintegration of sensitive leaves – providing more protein for the silage. ● Fewer passes protects the stubble and crop. ● Highly suitable for contractors.
Engineering (IMAG-DLO) in Lower resistance to drying and larger surface area for evaporation improves the release of water vapour. The best possible conditions for evaporation are provided. The utilisation ratio is directly proportional to the density of the crop, the dry matter content of the forage and the effect achieved by conditioning.

The rotor transfers the crop to the wide spread mechanism. Spreading vanes distribute the flow of crop over the whole mowed width. Each vane can be adjusted individually. The forage is then deposited in a wide and airy blanket. The sun’s rays have immediate effect even without tedding so that water evaporates faster. The drying time is reduced considerably. The two swath boards and the outer vanes may be turned inwards to form a swath. The swath width is determined by the position of the vanes.

If you don’t need the conditioner you simply remove it; e.g. for the daily green feed requirement. Open two quick-release coupling pins, release the rotor drive belt tensioner and remove the belts. Attach auxiliary wheels on either side and wheel the complete conditioner away – it’s as easy as that. The swath formers are now quick and easy to install. The conditioner can easily be retrofitted to a plain mower.

No additional angular gear unit required. Power is transmitted direct from the cutter bar shaft to the rotor using drive belts. The spring-loaded belt tensioner has a wide roller to adsorb power peaks effectively for trouble-free power transmission. Tension can easily be released to remove drive belts. Conditioner plate ● The conditioning intensity is easily regulated by adjusting the corrugated conditioning plate. A full range is provided – from careful conditioning (for leafy legumes) through to intensive processing. Selection can be made in steps by means of an adjusting lever. The waxy coating is rubbed off the crop so that moisture can evaporate more rapidly.
