A P R OPE R INTRO D U CTI O N e l iz a b eth m o lle n... Elizabeth Mollen inherited her love of design and art from her Grandmother, who was an artist and antique dealer. As a child, Elizabeth spent most of her time creating, drawing, and redecorating her room. When she left Chicago for college, Elizabeth received her degree in textile and apparel design and studied art in Italy. Elizabeth worked and developed her skills in New York and Los Angeles with various designers in the fashion industry. Elizabeth’s favorite hobby became vintage shopping and she began to realize that her true passion was interior design work. Using her love of textiles, she began to design pillows and interior spaces for friends. The birth of Stone Textile was naturally the next step. Elizabeth has an eye for mixing textures, discovering new materials and has developed and designed original fabrics for her collection. Elizabeth currently resides in Austin, Texas with her husband Russell.
ston e t exti le ... It was only fitting to create Stone Textile in memory of her grandparents, who taught her to appreciate and observe the beauty of old and new. Elizabeth takes a modern meets vintage approach to design and creates fabrics that reflect hidden patterns in architecture and antique jewelry given to her by her grandmother. Elizabeth is also inspired by contemporary fashion trends. Her home dĂŠcor pieces have a level of elegance and simplicity that complement an environment, enhance the table, and add a bit of attitude to life. Stone Textile has been featured in various design magazines such as Domino, House Beautiful, Lonny, and Rue.
