Transitions.

I have noticed a strong theme around transitions at the moment. We are no longer in summer but transitioning through Autumn on the way to Winter. The seasons are changing. There appears to be many personal changes for people at this time too. Whether through the pandemic or not, many people have identified areas of their lives that they wish to change. When there is no longer a desire to do what has been done before but a new way has not yet been established, there is a period of transition. This kind of movement from the known to the unknown can be very uncomfortable and even feel destabilising. It can even feel tempting to return to the familiar. This is quite natural. However, if we can find ways to tolerate the internal unease around negotiating the external changes that we seek, the rewards can be worthwhile. Self care and support are especially important strategies to maintain during any kind of transition.

Mental health is more important now than ever - recognise when you need to re-adjust, take time to breathe and take stock of your own mental health, it is vitally important that we all take it just as seriously as our physical wellbeing.
