Re: To be free Rick, I agree that drawing on the strategic oil reserves was a good move on President Obama’s part, but should have been done much sooner. I have to be a tad suspicious of the timing, with the President’s shaky approval rating numbers and a reelection bid looming on the horizon. It seems a bit like the kid who puts on his best behavior a month before Christmas, so Santa will bring him a bunch of presents. Nonetheless, the move seems to have lowered gas prices, and that’s good for all of us. I wouldn’t call a 25 cents per gallon drop “tumbling”, though. When gas drops to less than $2.00 per gallon (where it should be), then I’ll say it has “tumbled”! If President Obama has a direct hand in making that happen, he will most likely get my vote! One more point: The “relentless defamation” you mention pales in comparison to the eight year pummeling taken by George W. Bush at the hands of the news media, the entertainment industry, and his opponents. I hope President Obama fares better. I believe the office of President of the United States deserves more respect, regardless of who occupies the oval office.-Sam S. Take a look at the price of Oil now, a few days after the S O Reserves, back on its way to $100.
