On 6 June 2016, Assistant Professor Dr. Monwipa Wongrujira, Assistant to the President, and Associate Professor Dr. Kamolrat Intaratat, faculty member of STOU School of Communication Arts, warmly welcomed the delegation from Polytechnic University of the Philippines Open University System (PUP OUS).

The delegation visited the King Prajadhipok and Queen Rambhai Barni Documentation Center, the School of Communication Arts, the Educational Broadcasting Production Center, and the Office of the University Press.

From 11 to 15 June 2016, Assistant Professor Dr. Monwipa Wongrujira, Former Assistant to the President and Mrs. Rattip Phukkeson, Acting Head of International Affairs, represented Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) at the 3rd Education Sub-Forum of the 10th China-South Asia Business Forum (SESF2016), organized by Yunnan Open University in Kunming, China. The conference under the theme “Embrace Opportunities in Education with Open and Joint Hands under One Belt One Road” aimed to explore the possibilities of cooperation and formulate specific cooperative agreements among partnership universities in the field of continuing education. In addition, on 13 June 2016, Assistant Professor Dr. Monwipa Wongrujira was honored to give a keynote speech outlining “Educational Collaboration toward Smart Society under the New Silk Road Policy”.
