In order to ensure durability, a coating system has to satisfy conflicting requirements: suitability for rising damp combined with crack-bridging ability. The innovative product StoPox 590 EP – a formulation comprising special epoxy resin with cementitious extender – is the ideal solution. Furthermore, the complete StoFloor Traffic Elastic 590 EP system boasts excellent bonding properties on concrete substrates with increased levels of moisture as well as high alkaline stability. In combination with other
tried-and-tested StoCretec products, it is ideal for use on watertight floor slabs in car parks. Various tests, including determination of the static crack-bridging ability with different applied quantities (DIN EN 1062-7), determination of the skid resistance and wear resistance (method according to RiLi-SIB, section 5.5.10), and classification of the reaction to fire (DIN EN 13501-1), prove the system's credentials.
